Stabilizers also reduce the fatigue of the driver on a personal level by reducing the amount of physical strength it takes to guide those larger tires on and off the road. Changing the weak stock unit for a better performing replacement or adding dual steering stabilizers is an inexpensive and worthy investment.

I didn't know for sure how long the old ones were on my F 250, so when in doubt , replace them. The new one works great, if you need better ride , replace the old.

I took off a rough county damper that was making my steering hard and unresponsive, bolted this guy on and works great!! Easy steering and no death wobble.

States it will fit my dodge ram... it did not, It would have but because it does not come with new hardware i couldn't use it. Could not use my original hardware cause it does not fit through the new bushing after heating it out of the old bushing.Had to end up going to the parts store and buying another damper that actually comes with a new hardware bolt. It would have been nice if it was an easy swap cause it would have matched the rest of the skyjacker shocks i put on.

Bought for my 2012 Ford F-250 that has a Procomp ES2000 steering stabilizer set up on it; the Procomp shocks were leaking, and when I called Procomp to take advantage of their "lifetime warranty," I was told that these shocks were out of stock, and wouldn't be available for at least 6-12 months. A quick search showed that these shocks were not available anywhere else, either. The guy I spoke to at Procomp told me these Skyjacker 7000s would work, so I thought I'd give them a try.The shocks themselves were a little longer than the Procomps, but they seem to fit in the stabilizer brackets with enough articulation both directions. Note that while these Skyjacker 7000s do come with bushings, they do not come with the metal sleeves that go through the bushings, so you'll either have to save those from your old shocks or buy new sleeves.The installation for my application was simple and straight forward. The most difficult part was getting my old sleeves to fit into the new bushings. In the end the installation went fairly smoothly, and the truck seems to steer better and smoother with the new shocks installed. After installation, took the truck on a 200 mile drive which included some rough dirt road driving, and these performed great!

I received the steering stabilizer I ordered a while back. Wasn't able to install until today and when I opened the box there it was, the stabilizer. Just the 'stabilizer', now I'm not a major offroader but I'm pretty sure there's more that's supposed to be in the box, like I don't know BUSHINGS, a BOOT, Instructions, heck even a stinking sticker after all this is a Skyjacker. I see this was purchased from Pacific Northwest in Spokane, Washington on W Hallett Road. Well Pacific Northwest I'm not impressed. I know this isn't Amazon's fault but now I have to drive to town and hope Napa has the parts I'll need. I am still very pleased with Amazon's service and delivery.
