This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the leaf. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the leaf. The Skyjacker add-a-leafs are pre-drilled for the center pin. Pin location varies with each application. Most have long tapered ends for a progressive affect and ride comfort.

Extremely happy with these leafs. Worked excellent to help support a boss plow on a 97’ F250 HD. I was worried it would cause a rough suspension ride. It drives and feels great. Easy to install

I installed these in a 1992 F350 4x4 diesel to help lift the sagging front end. I measured before and after installing and I only gained 1/2", not the 1 1/2-2" claimed. In the pictures you can clearly see the add-a-leaves are not even touching the top two original springs. They only make contact with the rest of the spring pack in the center and lightly at the front edge. They don't even touch the other springs at the rear! These may work in a F250 with the Twin Traction beam axle that has the springs arched the opposite way but they are clearly not designed to work with a solid axle F350. About all I gained in height was the thickness of the springs under the center of the pack; they did absolutely nothing to lift and support the original springs. Totally worthless! I'd return them if I could but since I already painted them and cut the ends off the tie bolts I'm stuck with them now.

Installed with new U-bolts (you should replace your U-bolts when you do this) on my 1996 F-250 Powerstroke. The product claims you will see a gain of 2 to 2.5 inches of lift. I got exactly 1". I will have to buy a lift block now to put under these to make it the 2" I need to clear my tires. Right now they're rubbing when I turn. On the plus side these didn't negatively affect the ride of the truck. In the end, $200 for this and new bolts was a lot to spend for 1" in my opinion. I could have bought new bolts and 2" blocks for well under $100.

Easy install looks great gained 2" at least head of center pin was a little bigger than stock so it was a tight fit but still looks great

As far as I'm concerned the Skyjackers are the only add a leaf you want to use. I once installed these daily working for a 4x4 shop and after trying them all, the Skyjackers were the best. They may not lift quite as high as others but the progressive spring is well worth it. It won't knock your fillings out going down the road like some other add-a-leaf/leveling kits do. I traded 1/2" of lift for a decent ride and I'm happy about it. This was in a 460 Big Block truck and it lifted it right where I wanted it. No more tire rub!Comes with index bolts that are fine thread, it's a good kit all the way around.

Had to wait to get the pair mounted and never looked in the unopened box, only to get a call from my mechanic that the box only had ONE leaf, but all the hardware. . . sucks!

Lifted the front of my 78 F250 4x4 about 2 inches. The ride feels the same and it allowed me to clear 35s when they were way too tight before the lift. Great product.
