Your cart is empty.Softride springs use only American steel and the individual leafs of each spring are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the spring. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride springs use bolt style spring clips, eliminating friction. Other spring designs use the cinch style bend clips which bend tightly over the spring leafs causing binding and friction. Skyjacker Softride springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends. This tapering distributes loads more evenly over a greater area and reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.

Leaf springs are solid build quality. They ride well and do their job. If you get a couple with different part numbers they are the same. I contacted Skyjacker about the two I received and they said this “ Those are the same springs at one point our manufacture stamped them F789 6â€R and we started getting them to use our part # FR56S. The smaller numbers are just date codes to help identify when the springs where made.â€

Had both of these installed and truck back together in the same afternoon. Truck is riding great now! I am unsure of the weight load as II had helper bags already

used these springs on the rear of my 1993 f150. runs 37 inch toyos on 12 wides just fine, also 39.5 fit well too. pulls great with no wheel hop in the sand, rides a tiny bit firmer than stock but factory springs were sacked out and i running bilstein 5100 shocks too.

As like must pictures this does not resemble the true product. It does not have the bottom straight leaf! It does preform as expected without it, but with it I believe it would preform somewhat different, I also dispute the fact that it works with a 8†lift as the springs alone will not provide that ride height without the dangerous aid of lift blocks or a shackle flip! With all that said i believe in the Skyjacker Product otherwise I would not have bought it. I would like clarification from the company regarding the bottom leaf!!!
