About this item

  • Constructed As Progressive Multileaf Packs
  • Load Capacity Will Be Equal or Greater Than OE
  • Made With American Steel
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty
  • Lift Height 2.5-3 inch

Softride Add-a-leafs use only American steel and are shot-peened with hard steel pellets at very high velocities. This shot-peening compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength of the leaf. Without this shot-peening procedure, the maximum wheel travel and ride quality could not be achieved without sacrificing the life of the leaf. The Skyjacker add-a-leafs are pre-drilled for the center pin. Pin location varies with each application. Most have long tapered ends for a progressive affect and ride comfort.

i bought this for a 2013 tacoma, 2.7L 2wd prerunner access cab. i think not all data bases are updated for each model and trim, as i had to research if this would fit, even then i felt like i was guessing. it worked for me as expected. my truck is a work truck that keeps about a 500-600lb load in tool boxes in the back. prior to installing these, the truck squatted in the back a little as you looked at the side of it. now it sits back to normal, giving me about a 1.5 to 2 inch lift in the rear. the ride is slightly firmer. this spring goes between the overload spring(the one that looks upside-down)and the rest of the spring pack. if you measure the length from 1 point to the other it is 36" and just a hair under 2.5 inches wide. if you run a measuring tape along the arch it measures 36.75", with the centering bolt hole dead in the center at 18 3/8". it comes with a new centering bolt which you will need. i did not need new u bolts, the threads of the old u bolts still protrude from the nuts about a 1/2" with this installed. it took me about 3 hours to install both, and i wasn't working hard. the trick is raising the body securely and safely until the tire just gets off the ground. i used a forklift at work with a block of wood on the forks to raise at the rear spring hanger.

I bought these for my 2014 Tacoma and having read a previous review about fitment I made sure to test fit them. They do fit, but with not much room to spare from add-a-leaf spring end to factory spring pack clamp. My lift ended up being 2" which is a touch shy of where I would have liked, but I can always add a 1" block later if they settle too much. They are also a little steep on the price for what you get as I would have preferred a spring with a Teflon pad on each end as some of the other brands have. I opted for these as they were in-stock for 2-day Prime shipping and I was on a major time-crunch. I am pleased with the ride as it did not add any harshness. In fact, these along with the RS9000XL shocks I added to the rear made the ride feel more confident. Would be a 5 star product for me if the price were more competitive and the springs ends were padded.

Worked great. Bought 3 sets. One for my 2000 and two others for two of my cousins trucks. We did all of them at the same time. All our trucks are loaded with tools especially one will a heavy bed tool camper and a generator. I think it worked best for him since he now doesn't hit the bump stops when the truck steps on a hole

They were pretty easy to install but they Re making a squeeky noise on my 2011 tacoma

I did this at home in the driveway. My Tacoma has to carry a lot of tools for my job. This gave me my smooth ride back.Picked up my truck 1 1/2” in the rear.

(Original review) For now, 4 stars.. haven't installed yet. The instructions are very basic. If one is not mechanically inclined, one would be nervous about disassembling a leaf pack to insert this helper. Also, as mentioned in another review, these do not have the anti-squeak pads.(Update) The springs are a bit too long. If you put weight in the cargo bed, like 300+ pounds, the ends of these AAL's will press up against the riveted clamp on the stock spring. If they were about 1/8-1/4 inch shorter on each end, problem solved. Also, after hauling a lot of stuff, 1 of the springs is showing a sag, as now 1 side is a bit lower than the other.

I put these on this weekend and LOVE the new ride height. The change in ride stiffness is not really noticeable but I'm sure it will be the next load of dirt I haul. Instructions could have been a little better, but overall very happy with the results.UPDATE 7/24/2016 - Hauled 14 loads of dirt this weekend, each at least a yard + with excellent ride performance. It would have bottomed out before I upgraded the suspension with this kit. VERY pleased. Thanks @Skyjacker.
