We purchased this pack and another pack for 6 days of day hiking in 2 National Parks and on the plane I would recommend this pack as a slightly larger than small pack. It’s comfortable, sturdy, and lightweight. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsily. The bag was tossed around and placed in rough surfaces from forests to rocky landscapes and held up well. No tears or pulls. Plenty of pockets to store snacks and a bladder. It could hold a rain jacket, camera, battery pack, fruits, snacks, small medical kit, 2L or 3L bladder (we used a 2L), d ring exterior clips, 1-2 exterior water bottles, maps, bug spray, sunscreen, and other supplies in moderation. The exterior mesh pockets can hold large 32oz water bottles or similar on either side. But that adds to the weight you’ll carry. The exterior straps held them tightly in place. I didn’t feel like the pack or it’s contents sat on my back awkwardly or were unstable. There are plenty of adjustable straps. However, I didn’t like the one interior Velcro bladder strap. 2 straps would have been much better to hold the bladder in place. Occasionally, the one strap system slipped open causing the bladder to sag. I used a chip clip to hold the strap securely and stabilize the bladder. The mesh back pad worked nicely to vent heat, but you’ll still sweat with a cotton shirt. But that’s with all bags. Note: There’s no bladder included, which is a plus. I’ve read comments to the contrary, but the other bag we purchased came with a cheap bladder that needs to be replaced because it was terrible — that only adds to the cost. Plus buy a great bladder you’ll like and not get frustrated with when you need a drink. We liked the slot placement for the bladder hose. It would have been really nice if the bladder pocket was insulated as with other bags. The bag also fits nicely in the plane. If we had to do it again, I would purchase a slightly larger size 25L vs a 20L, but that’s not a deal breaker. This bag is fine for hikes of different levels. I would get one with the exterior webbing to stow additional items, but that my preference. Overall good value and would recommend this pack after having actually used it in rugged terrain for several days.

Nice and light, good pockets, capacious in all sorts of ways. Using for carrying books (I had 7 heavy hardback books, along with my laptop etc yesterday -- yet, it felt really light because it fits my body nicely, (I am 5'4") especially with the belts in front. The shoulder straps are located at the right place (instead of being too wide), and are highly adjustable in length. Pockets can take lots of little things, from a cell phone and bike lights to hand lotion and a pencil/pen case. I have a dozen or more backpacks piled up in my house, actually, but this is my winner for now. It will be a proper size for a flight carry-on to put under the seat, too. I am excited to have a backpack that actually fits me, is comfortable, and carries a lot!

Could not have purchased a better bag. I have used on multiple hikes and also travel throughout Europe and the US over the last few months. Light weight, good quality, very comfortable and holds the perfect amount for a day hike or a day of travel.

I was choosing between this bag and the 25 lb bag. I went with this one because it is more durable and comfortable. I like the pockets - the side pockets hold good sized water bottles, multiple smaller pockets are useful for sun block and glasses, etc, and large pocket holds a good amount of gear, and the zippers move freely. In comparison, the 25lb skysper folded up very small but had fewer pockets and no padding. My husband got the 35 lb model. His is equally useful and comes with a rain cover. I had to purchase a rain cover for my backpack. His 35lb Skysper also easily fit a 2L hydration bladder. However, the 35lb backpack barely fit under the airline seat (really stuck out a lot!). Both the 25lb and 35lb backpacks could be improved by using a thicker material for the top loop. When picking up a full pack by the top loop, the thin cord can press a bit hard on your hand.

We each bought one, in different colors, for our hike of The Camino. Perfect size daypack with many features. Easily carried food, socks, raincoats and water. The smallest pack we found with waist AND chest belts! Comfortable, sizable for any height and durable. Worth the money. ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

Just returned from a mission trip to Central America and this was my all purpose daily pack. Great for plan traveling and then for keeping on me all day. Lots of room and a great amount of pockets and straps and it's definitely more breathable than any other backpack I've ever had. Lightweight in itself so I could really load it down. Not super padded but I was able to bring home a ceramic coffee mug in it - stuffed with socks and wrapped in two t-shirts. Don't have a durability rating after only one trip but so far so good. I'll definitely use this any time I go anywhere.

I bought this backpack to use during warmer weather, as I didn’t want to sweat all over my nicer everyday backpack. At first, I thought buying the smaller model was an error, but I’ve used it daily for months now and am extremely satisfied.I removed all the extra straps and just use the two shoulder loops. There’s plenty of room in the outer pockets for things you need easy access to, and the exterior mesh pouches for water bottles, compact umbrellas or other small items are handy and functional. If you have to carry a lot of stuff (e.g., you’re going on an extremely long hike or need to stow a laptop or large jacket), you need to size up. If you’re just carrying a handful of small items, the smaller size will do.

I bought for hiking and Airplane personal item carry on. Worked perfect for the carry on. Fit under the seat, good size, and good organization. For hiking, comfortable enough, even though I carried two huge metal water bottles in the side pockets. Would have been a five star for the price, but first trip the mesh on the shoulder strap is coming undone because it was cut small and did not catch the stitching. Poor build quality. Too bad because all the materials seem good quality. Oh well. Maybe I should of gave it a two star but considering, I went 3.

De buena calidad. Me funcionó bastante para la montaña. La cinta de pecho y de cintura, tienen buen ajuste. Y el amarre lateral para los bastones les da buena estabilidad.

I ordered this for my husband for everyday walks and he loves it. It is multi functional, sturdy zippers and comfortable to wear. It would be too small for any serious hiking, but ideal for shorter walks or hikes.
