After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to order this mattress but I am glad I did. It comes as advertised, including the 4" thickness. I don't know what people expected with all the negative reviews I read. There was VERY VERY LITTLE CHEMICAL ODER WHICH WENT AWAY AFTER A FEW DAYS. It is not plain foam rubber as some claimed. Of course if you lay on a crossbar you will feel it but what sofa mattress doesn't? My sleep sofa is 40 years old and the foam rubber mattress mattress that came with it finally had to be replaced and this mattress is a definite improvement in comfort. It appears to be well made with a decent covering. It fit my queen size sofa perfectly. My only real complaint is that there are no straps at the foot end to tie it to the frame. Other than that i recommend this mattress cosidering price, comfort (keep in mind its for a sofa bed) and quality

Fits the sofa sleeper mattress well. It seems to be quiet and comfortable. No spills to date but it seems to be waterproof.

I recently purchased a Sleep Chest which is a scaled down version of a Murphy Bed. It has a queen mattress, and I wanted a pad without the deep pockets that are meant to fit regular queen bed mattresses. I assumed that a sofa bed queen mattress pad would be a good choice. Never assume! A sofa bed queen mattress is evidently shorter than a regular queen mattress. It turns out the Sleep Chest mattress is a regular queen, though without the same thickness. So, needless to say, this pad is too short and will be returned. However, it seems to be of good quality and would probably be a good choice for an actual sofa bed. Just be sure to measure your mattress before you order!
