There's some nuance to these cases. I use them specifically for my custom-made deck boxes as a display for cards that double as the lock for the box. So to say I rely heavily on them is an understatement. They're great design means they won't scratch easily (thanks to a small bezel/rim on the front and back), and they allow for your card to stay seated and locked in place *as long as you follow the directions on how to put it in*. I cannot stress that enough. They need to be slid in against the front part of the case for them to seat properly.Aside from that little quirk they're great for expensive pieces like equipment or heroes in Flesh & Blood TCG, or as a display card holder for Magic's commander decks.

LOVE! The slide cases neatly stack on top of each other and the front/back side surfaces are recessed to prevent scratching. These Gamegenic slide card cases fit into the Gamegenic Bastion deck boxes. The Gamegenic deck boxes fit into my BCW collectible card bin. The VaultX exact fit card sleeves fit perfectly into the Gamegenic slide cards. No card movement in the slide case and little to no movement of the slide case in the Gamegenic deck box. Slide cards stay locked when fully closed, but the sliding mechanism is not smooth. I like that the slide cases are UV protected, but I have not tested the capability. Ultimately a WIN in my book!

So I bought these so my commander magic the gathering cards could look nicer. They are great. The only reason I give them a 4/5 is because they have so much plastic inside which could of been substituted for just some cardboard. Besides that I have my black and lime green are Gamegenic dual sleeved sleeves. The cards fit perfectly. My dark blue and purple sleeves are dragon shield resleevable sleeves and dragon shield matte sleeves. They do fit however I had to use a tweezer to push the top of the sleeve under the sliding mechanism to get it to fit. Other than that they all fit very well snuggly inside the case. I will also note when sliding it closed the card sleeves on both brands sometimes started to bubble a bit but very easy fix was to just pull the case slightly apart and then it would just snap back into being flat. I am very happy with this case. For best results use Gamegenic sleeves but they also work with dragonshield also so very very happy about that.

I have many products from Gamegenic and have been very satisfied pretty much all of them until now. I purchased several boxes of these cases to convert my mini snaps over to a hopefully more secure solution. Unfortunately, only about 1 out of every 3 of these cases actually closes securely. The other 2 out of 3 do not close securely and fall open when lightly handled. So instead of protecting your cards, they can fall out with out warning or worse get caught in a partially closed case. Perhaps even worse, when I contacted Gamegenic directly to ask about this problem, their answer was far from satisfactory. I was essentially told to just return the product, and certainly got the impression the company did not seem to care. Very disappointed.

The case itself seems very durable and I'm not at all worried that the card I'm storing inside will be damaged in any way. However, those lines that other reviews have talked about are certainly noticeable and I found that it is more noticeable on some of the cases than others. I want to also say that I don't think the front of the case is the side with those lines either, so I think there might be a little bit of user error on their end. The slide mechanism works well, but again, like other reviews have said, the latch isn't very tight sometimes. Some of the cases are really solid and hard to slide open, which I think is good. Some of them are a little too easy to slide open. The lip of the case that is supposed to allow these cases to stack on top of each other is for sure a little bit too aggressive and I think it would be better if it was smaller. All in all, I think the product is fine and I like the idea compared to mini snaps, since I've also had issues with those (like them just falling open when fidgeting with them). However, it is obvious that there is a consistency issue between the cases that needs to be addressed. The lines on the cases should also probably not be there, but since I think it's on the back, it's forgivable.

So, I’ve seen on here people complaining they don’t close. It’s a skill issue. Every one of these I got closes and doesn’t come off. If you put it on wrong (which no idea how you can’t see it’s not together right) they close. I put one on and it did t close right, pulled it apart and put it back together and it worked fine and does not pop open. As for the line that isn’t in the renders, that is there but only one side. If you put your card face in the side with it, that’s your mistake otherwise it’s a non-issue and don’t even notice the line since it’s on the back. Would buy these again.
