Product took less than 10mins to installWorks great!Easy lever for lock and unlockFeels solidTip: be careful of what screw length you use because you will be drilling/screwing into the sliding door frame (glass is also inside the frame) - i did two longer ones on the outter edge of the frame, clear of glass. Used the shorter ones provided closer to the glass edge.Same suggestion to the selection plate and locking plate. Too long of a screw and it will get in the door path when sliding, i used the two short ones for both.Screwed lengths;Door lock mechanism:Long—-ShortLong —- ShortSelection locking plate:Short—-shortWorks great and feels solid.

Having sliding doors in my house always made me feel unsafe. I found these and ordered one to try out. I was impressed how easy it was to install and felt the quality of materials was very good. It’s a simple operation to lock and unlock. You can even open your door a few inches to let in some air but still have it locked to prevent someone from opening it and gaining access. I ordered more for the rest of my doors!

My only complaint is that it could be longer. We use ours to hold the Sliding door open for the cat to go in and out as he pleases. If it were an additional 4 or 5 inches It would be perfect
