My kitties are very food-motivated. I set up an auto feeder to dispense lots of small meals across the day, but even then they would often scarf it up and redeposit it somewhere inconvenient.This food bowl has put an end to my problems, as well as the begging. It's just enough of a challenge that they eventually get bored, but there's still food available if they want it. Additionally, it slows them down enough that I haven't seen any food make a reappearance in weeks. They are eating overall less now, which I hope helps them maintain a healthy weight.

My 10 lb dog tends to scarf down his food so I got a slow feeder for him. However, I realized one wasn't enough so I went ahead and ordered this one to rotate with. I don't use the non-slip pads because it's on a grippy food mat so I can't attest to those, but the product is overall good quality so I would expect those to work as well. It's pretty deep so my small dog does struggle a little bit to get pieces of food out, but it's good added stimulation and slows him down more. He's a lot less gassy since starting with the slow feeders, and it is super easy to clean thanks to the thick ridges and plastic material. I think this would work great for dogs of all sizes and would definitely recommend to those whose dogs need to slow their roll at mealtime.

To deep for cats, I my cats didn't like it, could not eat out of it.

I got this for my granddog. My son has two dogs that I care for often. When it comes time for feeding, one of them scarfs her food. I'm not even sure she chews it. I worry about bloat. She sometimes has abdominal pain, and I wonder if it's related. I have them at my house this weekend and am trying this slow feeder with her. Thankfully, she hasn't been frustrated. She's forced to eat slowly and I have to think that is so much better for her. She gets a cup twice daily, so I've been able to spread her food really thin, along the bottom. She hasn't figured out how to tip it over. It stays in place well on both my carpet and linoleum.

We love pineapples in this house, so I thought this would be a cute one to add to my dog’s collection! She is a 45 pound half Belgian malinois, and this bowl is the perfect size for each of her two full meals a day. The features are deeper and narrower than the other bowls she had tried, so I wasn’t sure if she’d be able to reach everything, but of course it was no problem at all. The bowl came in three parts, but it was easy to snap the pineapple top in place and push the non slip feet into their slots. As long as your dog isn’t a chewer, because I could see them potentially eating the little feet, the bowl should work out great! Love the colour. It feels moderately sturdy like it should last a while if not abused. Wish it was dishwasher safe, but the surface was very easy to clean immediately after use.
