I have always run flowmaster mufflers on my V8 cars but with an off road x pipe the raspiness was God awful on my 98 GT.. So I add cats to my magnaflow x pipe and then they were just way too quiet. Decided to give these a try and I'm so glad I did. They sound so good, nice and deep, quiet on Highway under 2000 rpms and less drone on Highway than flowmasters, and very aggressive when you want them to be. Best of all.. They don't sound like every car on the road running flowmasters. They are in no way, shape or form too loud with cats on the car.. And not at all raspy. I would have to say without cats they probably would be obnoxious since it's basically a straight pipe, and probably raspy as can be. But if you have catalytic converters on your car I HIGHLY recommend them.

Sounds amazing on 1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 when combined with BBK Shorty headers, new H-Pipe, 16" Tips, 4 new Cat Converters as well as Cold air intake and throttle body. Would definitely buy again, removed Flowmaster super 40s and was not impressed at all, they sounded slightly louder than the stock system. These sounded good even when i had them welded on to the stock 20 year old exhaust pipes and headers the first time around. Weld location matters as well...

I loved the sound of good old slp's on a 2v mustang. I had always worried about drone though. After installing the amount of looks I get now that they are one is ten fold (and I have a roush). The sound is amazing. The drone is definitely there. it doesn't make driving on the highway unpleasant but it does drone. Get these mufflers!!!

These resonators have a an short inlet at one end of the "muffler," and a short outlet at the other end. So these are basically empty cans. They're kinda pricey for empty cans, but they work well enough and look good.

To be very honest... unless you do a complete exhaust job from the headers back, this upgrade is equivalent to just having straight pipes. I used these paired with an x pipe on a 2004 Mustang gt to replace the factory H pipe and mufflers. The sound did get loud and deep but it would've been the same by just having some custom bent straight pipes done from your local muffler shop. The only thing that these do help with is the elimination of the crackle (after-sound) of have just straight pipes. I also have another mustang gt with Flowmaster 40s and the rest is all factory and it sounds like a beast. So my conclusion is... save yourself the money UNLESS you are gonna do a complete exhaust job which I'm planning to do. Then these will really do what they are suppose to. But not worth it if you just wanna replace the mufflers.

I put these on a 2003 Mustang Mach 1. The car is 99% stock...the previous cat back was the only performance mod. I had put another brand of cat back on the car before and just wasn't happy with the sound. After a year or so, I bought this pair and welded them in. I couldn't be happier. Yes, they're loud(!). But I think this is how the car should have sounded from the factory. No tickets or complaints from neighbors yet.

Pretty much what I was expecting, did my research of different brands and decided on SLP. Worth the money and sounds damn good on my straight piped GT.
