Assembly is easy with a simple one page set of instructions. Using the included allen wrench I did not need any other tools. The only pain was the hooks on the side. It took me longer to screw them in then the rest of the assembly. Suggest you use gloves on that part as the little hooks can be rough on the hands. The shelf is very rigid and the wire part is very strong as well. The squares in the racks are perfect size to hold the packages containing my vinyl rolls. Important to me since the square packages has information on them for proper use/settings and reordering information as well. The rubber feet absolutely hold the shelf in place well. Pulling rolls in and out does not move the shelf all all.This is a good addition to my little craft shop.
