This is a bag for very small dogs, or very small cats or kittens. I would not really suggest it for a cat because the head hole doesn't not tighten down all the way if you don't want the pet to poke their head out at all, plus a pet can make it wider because the little plastic device to keep the cord tightened is not tight enough. A frightened pet could easily struggle through. The straps seem to be leather, but they are all folded up, single layer leather, and don't hang nicely. Perhaps with time or a warm iron they could be smoothed out. It has a solid flexible plastic (removeable) bottom that has a nylon cover that just covers one side, and slips over the ends of the plastic like a fitted sheet (versus the plastic bottom having a zippered cover that covers the entire thing, both sides) and it's not soft or absorbent, so not only will it not absorb an accident or drool, you can't flip it over (or at least, if you do, it will just be a plastic non covered surface). You'll need a towel for the bottom which will take up more of the limited space. It just seems like a lot of corners were cut on this design. It would really only be suitable for a small dog who is perfectly happy being in a bag at all times and never wants to try to push out through the head hole on their own. I really like the ventilation, however, with mesh on both the top and the side. Nicer straps, a strong clasp on the head hole cord, and a fleece or microfiber zippered cover on the bottom panel would make this an acceptable carrier.

The product came quickly and was packed well. The carrier looks like it was made well and my cat fits into it nicely although I had to add a small towel so the bottom would be soft which did take away some space. While my cat did not seem to be uncomfortable I would recommend this only for short trips.
