This is my first darning loom, so I had zero expectations. I had to watch a YouTube video on how to use it, but it seems to function as expected. The included rubber bands are useless, I broke 2, and eventually opted for the ones I get from the produce aisle on like asparagus or whatever. If you have big holes you need to darn this will do just fine.

This works great for reinforcing my socks. I have sweaty feet so do not dare to wear shoes without socks, but then again I am hard on my clothing and a comfortable pair of socks will go thin at the heel in a matter of ten wearings or so. This is a fun way to extend the time between getting and tossing my socks. It helps make a neat and durable protective layer over my rub areas in only a few minutes in front of the TV. I use sock wool and have been pleased with the results, after the first two that were a bit, uh, unfortunate.

The rubber bands that came with the loom were brittle and too small. All four broke within the first couple tries to use them. Haven't gotten much further as I am stuck trying to source my own bands.

I broke 2 rubber bands and cut my finger the first time I tried to use this.

I watched videos of this and thought it looked fairly easy to use. However, it does not come with any written instructions, only a small 4 panel picture sheet. This doesn't really help with the laying out of the threads or how to bind them when done weaving.The concept is good, a bit of weaving to fill a hole in jeans or socks, but I need a little more detail...Will update if I figure out what to do.
