The steel small pattern machine screw hex nut has a zinc-plated finish. The nut has a small pattern design, meaning it is narrower than a standard machine screw hex nut for use in areas with limited space. It has six flat sides that a wrench can grip to turn from the side, enabling use when there is no space above the nut. Steel is often used in applications where strength is the primary consideration. The zinc plating offers corrosion resistance and has a reflective appearance.
Nuts are internally threaded fasteners that are used with bolts and threaded rods and studs to connect components. I was building a display and needed nuts to be used as spacers and to hold everything together. They all were made well with no issues. I expected to find a few of them that were I’ll fitting or not cut correctly but, I used 75+ and they were all good.

These nuts fit USA threaded guitar humbucker adjustment screws perfectly, so if you have a humbucker that has been drilled for direct mounting, you can solder or glue these to the bottom of the legs to convert them back to standard!

I used this on a Seymour Duncan guitar humbucker pickup that had a stripped screwhole. I soldered this nut (after carefully aligning it with the screw/hole) to the pickup frame, and now I can adjust my pickup height again. Works well, jut be sure not to get any solder in or misalign the two holes.

Purchased these to go along with the steel machine screws. Much cheaper compared to purchasing it from the local hardware store. These specific ones are thin. There is enough threads for good engagement. It doesn't look like the photo. Envision the same thing, but about half as thick. Which was exactly what I was looking for

Arrived quickly, tested a few, they thread on just fine. I haven't bolted any up yet, so cannot comment on that, but at this size, they don't need a lot of torque, so I'm not anticipating any problems.
