I have an older TV in the Bluetooth will not connect so being able to plug this in with Essential we have had no problems with it and the sound can get fairly loud. The sound had gone out in my TV because of my husband’s hearing loss. I believe the speakers so this was essential to be able to hear the TV. Not one problem so far.

Sound quality is about average, but the remote is hit or miss. works well in a small room for music, but the sound is a bit hollow in most of the modes except Standard.Also, after a few months of use, I've noticed the BT connection will be intermittent while watching TV with my Apple/Google TV devices (like it will drop in between scenes with no dialogue, or have a lag). Kind of bizarre and annoying. I guess it's what you pay for... Strangely when I use it just to play music from a phone or computer, it actually works pretty well as a speaker, rather than a TV soundbar.

Mid September a very very loud glass breaking sound from my sound bar. Sounded like a giant chandelier had fallen from a distance and crashed. Then two weeks later the same thing happened. Eight days later there was a sound like two pieces of wood being hit together. Not especially loud. Then five days later there was an extremely loud metal clanging sound. Was like a bomb going off. Three days later again a couple of pieces of wood banging together. Not really loud. Now a day later there is static coming from sound bar. Had unplugged everything a few weeks ago to see if that would force it to reset itself but apparently that failed. Now have again unplugged and tried again without success. Figure it is gone for good but have it disconnected from all and in a few days will try again but have no hope. It is 11 months old and wasn’t that expensive but feel it could have lasted longer. The sound was better than tv itself even though not great.

When you unpack this you are given multiple installing and operating operations. I found the simplest way was to plug in the A/C cord, insert the HDMI cable into the rear of the TV and turn it on. I have it laying flat on the stand with the TV. The sound is excellent. If you want to install and mount it on a wall, read the owner's manual carefully. It gives you all the items that are including in the packing box. Do I recommend this speaker? You bet. If you like HIFi, clear sound, this is for you. Walter J. I purchased this for my hearing impaired mother. It does not work more than half the time. I feel that I wasted my money. I’ve tried to connect multiple ways but it does not work. I wish it would work. Disappointed.

Would give 5 stars but was hard to blue tooth to the tv. After blue tooth the speaker seams to be lacking some bass. But overall a good little sound bar for the money
