When I went to Texas to photograph the eclipse this spring I had a lot of trouble seeing the LCD screen on the back of my Olympus OM-1. Someone next to me had one of these little buggers and it really worked to cut down on the glare, making it easier to frame the sun. A few weeks ago I was trying to shoot a waterfall in full sunlight using a 10-stop ND filter and had the same problem. So I decided to get one of these to see how it works.It works fantastically well. It is also simple to put on and take off your rear screen. Finally it fits all of my Olympus cameras, both the E-M1 Mark III and the OM-1, both Mark I and Mark II. Worth every penny of its reasonable price.

I use this on a Sony FX30 which doesn't have a viewfinder. It slides onto the LCD screen easily and folds up small in my bag. It works well when the LCD is large enough to see the image I want to capture and there is not too much glare from all directions. It's easier than bolting on an external monitor. There are situations where I need to use an LCD magnifier hood instead.

It works OK in outdoor sunny environment, but in extreme bright sun it cannot block reflection on your display screen (I doubt any compact hood will). Still, it is a good value for the price.

It’s great at shading the screen, so it does what it says it will, but the design is poor, should have thinner strap to allow for display closing

I use mine on every single wedding i shoot. It works great at blocking the sun and also keeping guests from trying to hover over my shoulder to see what i'm shooting. It slips on and off in 1 second. Very convenient

I got this to use on my Sony a6700 it dose fit when the screen is folded out and works very well and is built well to.

Keeps the light glares off the screen and doesn't look as obnoxious as I thought it was going to lol. Fits my sony a7iv's screen perfect.

Blocks the light as advertised really well, but the material is pretty thick.As a, result you can only use with the screen folded out.
