I’m very happy with this shoulder rig, it’s easy to carry and lightweight. It comes with everything you need to mount my DSLR camera and I can configure it for my needs. It’s built of high-quality aluminum. I highly recommend it!

The best shoulder rig out there for under $100. Strong aluminum alloy, rubber hand grips.The shoulder pad is a bit on the flimsy side as it’s not really wide or long enough, depending on who is holding it. But it does provide some support and help with the weight of your rig.The rods are 12†long, and the assembly is easy.

Easy intuitive assembly, lightweight, the price is right, parts are solid but not needlessly heavy, overall a great piece of gear for you to run off the shoulder.My only complaints are minor, it would’ve been nice for a QR plate to be included in the kit, I’m sure they would’ve upped the price however I feel like it’s going to be needed regardless. I also could not tighten the handles tight enough to prevent any slippage if I whipped the rig off my shoulder quickly with some force. Is it something you’ll be doing in the field ever? No most likely not, but it’d be nice to just give you that extra bit of confidence overall.

Rods are 12 inch. They are made out of aluminum and they are really short. If you’re planning to rig up your camera and then use this, I highly recommend ordering extension rods. The shoulder pad is extremely stiff. This is an average product. If you could spend more money, i will recommend ordering 18 inch carbon fiber rods and all other parts separately.*Update*Very disappointed with smallrig, it appears there quality has gone downhill. There are plenty of other great competitors to choose from. This is the second SmallRig product I had to return due to poor quality.

This shoulder rig is really good for a lot of cameras and phones. It doesn't come with an easy/quick bracket to attach the camera to the rig. Don't forget to get one if you don't have something on hand.

Excellent starter rig. I wish they had a rosette handle version for maybe $100 more. The rosette handles are a lot better. They are almost $300 on their own! Sheesh! Come on small rig! All that to say, the price is excellent for what you get. I am happy with the results.

Overall I was disappointed with this item. Like others I found the shoulder support sadly lacking in design and quite frankly, expected more from Smallrig. The foam on the shoulder support is too firm, and with its lack of adequate contour, I found it hard to keep the rig sitting securely on my shoulder, and ended up pushing it into my shoulder like a rifle butt to keep it steady. While I didn't experience any problems with the handles coming loose, for me the shoulder pad is a deal breaker, so this item will be going back.
