Use it with my a7iv with no issues, great for self portraits when I have my camera on a tripod. Als great for Astro photography.

This is a great with NONE of the negatives in some reviews.Setup was a snap, the button was smooth and easily went from focus to shutter. A+++Here's the problem:I bought this with the SmallRig Mini WoodenGrip (GREAT!) - but when I mounted using the cold mount clip the easy movement was too flexibile and moving. YMMV. A security screw is provided however there is no tap hole in the Grip - nor room to add one.

I had high hopes for the SmallRig Wireless Remote Control. But thus far I'm unimpressed.Right out of the box, it was the right size, controls appeared easy to use, battery included, little did I know the frustrations to come. The battery compartment was nearly impossible to open by hand. I had dismissed those needing tools as hypberbol, but 5 minutes later I was seriously giving getting a pair of plyers as an option when it finally (somehow) slipped open. Now that I could see it battery compartment was well marked, apparently would need only one of the two coin batteries. Always nice to have a spare. And activated, blue led for when shutter depressed. Flashing for pairing... so why won't it pair? My Sony A7Cii acts like it never even noticed. Another 15 minutes laters and I've had it.Pity as I had high hopes for it being easier and more convenient that the "smart phone" app the manufacturer recommended.Strike one - NO instructionsStrike two - hard to access battery compartmentStrike three - not able to pair to camera inspire of claim (Alpha 7C II )Y'er out.

I like that it came with two batteries, easily paired with my Sony camera, and offers several options to carry having a clip and a 1/4 threaded hole with screw.

Build and quality looks good. I unfortunately couldn't pair it with my Sony A7III or with my Sony Xperia 1 VI so I had to return it. I had bought it for an upcoming trip where I had some down time to go explore and do personal photography in between photo shoots for try landscape, etc. photography but now I'll have to adjust my plans on how do that.

Used it on a recent trip with a Sony A7 RV, worked wonderfully. Easy to pair with the camera. Easy to focus and shoot. Two downsides: 1. Short battery life as I had to change the battery after only one long shooting session, and 2. Easy to misplace and lose, I lost it after changing the battery in a hotel room (unfamiliar territory) and had to get another one. I think these should come with a lanyard to make it easier to locate and not misplace.

I’m beyond thrilled with this remote. - It’s made my shooting process SO much easier! Whether I’m taking photos or recording video, this thing works like a charm every time. Super easy to pair, and the response is INSTANT- no delays or issues whatsoever. I love that I can just set up my camera and get the shot without running back and forth. It’s compact, lightweight, and just does exactly what I need it to. If you’re on the fence about getting one, trust me, you’ll be so happy you did! Seriously, this has been a total lifesaver for me!

Easy to pair even though the instructions don’t completely align to the menus in the camera for an A6700. Small and compact with a clip which is convenient for clipping to straps.

As people say, the battery drawer is hard to get out, and the button labels are too small to read, but I put a sticker on to show on off. Pairing was weird but the instructions are correct, you need a magnifying glass to read. But now it works exactly as I wanted, for much less $ and a nice small discrete size, better than the overpriced oversized Sony remote. The movie button didn’t work after using stills but if you turn it off and on again it will work.

Couldn't even open it to put the battery. Several people tried and no one was able. Don't know if it was a defect
