I had put off buying this thing because it's so expensive for months until every other product failed to thin my horse's very thick mane.It's crazy overpriced but, I'm grateful to at least now finally have a product that works.

Just got this in the mail and it is already a barn favorite! Fortunately I saw the instructions on the packaging (I don't always read instructions) because I would have used it incorrectly and perhaps be disappointed. I thinned and shortened my horse's mane in a few minutes. She was happy, never grouchy, about the process. And I also thinned the top of her tail. So quick and easy and now she is ready for mane braiding, which should be easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

It is magic! I read the previous reviews, decided to take a chance on this. Wish I had known about this thinning comb years ago! I have a warmblood with a very thick mane. He hates to have even the thinnest section of mane pulled. In about 10 minutes, his mane is show ring ready! Worth every penny, beats all the other products I have tried.

So happy with this comb- it worked even better than I expected! I used it on our two horses- a TB and a Clyde/draft cross who has a super thick and long mane. Very easy to use, awesome results... and the blade is still sharp! Was shipped same day and yeah it's coming from the U.K. but was still received earlier than the expected day. Super happy- highly recommended.

I found this thinner as I absolutely hate mane pulling! It's terrible on their neck and painful. With this, both of my horses stand quietly as I thin 2x a year as they think I'm just combing their mane!! I want to get another as a gift for a new rider, hopefully I can make that happen.

I haven't pulled a mane in years. I normally use a solo comb, but my new pony's mane was sooooo thick, I didn't think it would do a good enough job and would take forever, so I bought this when I saw it recommended on Facebook. First picture is before, 2nd pic is after using thinner - it doesn't look a lot different, but it really thinned it out -you can tell from all hair on floor! I then shortened the mane using a solocomb. This mare was absolutely phobic about me "pulling" her mane, but she was awesome with the smart tail part of the process. It actually took a while with solo comb to finish, because she was having meltdowns every time I teased the hair back thinking I was going to pull. But by end, she understood I wasn't going to hurt her and was good!

I actually used this for manes as I couldn't find a wider mane version. I used it on my 1/2 thoroughbred 1/2 percheron who has a very thick mane. It worked great! Mane was about 10 inches when I started and I watched u tube video and results were painless, quick, and looked pulled, not cut. I had tried other combs in past which were awful. I loaned it to a friend who used it on her warmblood with similar results.
