My son has worn these skiing many times. His feet always stay warm. Coldest day was 10 degrees Fahrenheit. He has sensitive skin and reported the socks are comfortable. They wash up well and didn't shrink. He wears size 3 shoes.

Super cute pattern, but there are parts of the foot bed that feel a bit thinner than the main material. Might be worth layering if playing in snow/extra cold. I got a size small for my 4 year old (size 9 shoe), and it fits right on. If her feet were bigger, these might be too small, especially after washing. Classic Smartwool material helps keep her feet warm and dry.
