I am a very organized person (to a fault) and I like everything in its proper place. (It drives me absolutely nuts when I can’t find something!) I love these Smead file pockets. I was first introduced to them at work many years ago (“redropesâ€, as we called them), but I find them equally useful at home. They are available in letter and legal sizes, and a variety of expansion sizes. Although I am trying to switch to electronic files at home, I still have a lot of paperwork. These thick file pockets work very well for long-term paper storage. This 5-pack of assorted colors is especially great, as you can color code your files. [Tip: If the file pockets eventually split at a seam due to excessive usage, a quick repair by a piece of packing tape is usually all it takes.] I rely on these folders to help keep me organized … and I definitely recommend!

I was a tad hesitant to order these file pockets, but I did and I like them. I use them in my messenger bag. The pockets allow me to keep my files and folders separated by subject or category groups. The color variety makes it easy for me to distinguish between the file groups. The pockets expand to accommodate the many different file and folders for each category instead of having the files loose. Open bag, select proper color pocket needed, pull out the pocket and there I have all the individual files/folders pertaining to that one subject. My only concern is their durability. I haven't had them long and don't know how well they hold up with frequent handling.

They work for my needs. Mine get destroyed rather quickly as they are used to transport files. Last for about 5-7 months with rigorous use. Would last longer if just for storage

Sadly, I'm a hoarder when it comes to papers. I save practically anything and everything. Needless to say - those regular file folders just weren't cutting it. As organized as I tried to stay with your typical sized file folder, it just was not working out for me. I bought this on a whim and splurged on same day shipping because I was literally driving myself crazy trying to figure out how to organize my writings, my bills, my health documents, my magazines (the list goes on... for a long time). I purchased two packs and felt actual relief when they arrived and I saw how much these folders can hold. And the pocket that keeps papers from overflowing and falling out is EVERYTHING. In less than 24 hours these file pockets simplified my life and I can breathe a little bit easier. I have a new baby at home (who is colic) so anything that makes my life less complicated is a God-send these days. This purchase definitely qualifies. I only hope I don't have to purchase more because I'd like to stop collecting endless papers. But if I can't (and there's a good chance I won't be able to) then at least I now have a way to efficiently organize my stacks upon stacks of tangible chaos. Actually, I'm starting to wonder if these folders are enablers....lol.

These are colorful, sturdy, high capacity folders I love. I use them to keep recipes, knitting and crochet projects I've downloaded or cut from magazines and haven't found or made the time to transfer to notebooks. Also retain other technical or monetary info I've acquired useful at the time. definitely recommended if you love and collect information to be readily available without having to spend more time in the Internet. Liken it to holding a book to read rather than reading from Kindle!
