I use these for trolling for Walleye during the Spring months (Lake Erie). Since these dive about 6', ideal trolling depths are 7-15 ft of water with these stick-bait style Smithwick lures. I tossed these about 20-30 ft behind my boat and off I went trolling at about 1.5-2mph for Walleye. Rod tips were going down almost immediately...smallmouth bass crush these, as well as Walleye and other Great Lakes fish species. Even caught a silver bass while trolling with these lures. Lures seem well-made, the hooks are very sharp so be careful when handling fish caught with these stick baits. Highly recommend for Walleye/bass fishing in the Great Lakes. Excellent for trolling use.

I was initially skeptical because I've never had any real luck with jerk baits in the river here in FL; but, I was pleasantly surprised when I threw it out there from the bank of some rocks, jerked it some and paused and ended catching a nice sized Jack fish! Pretty good for a novice fisherman on his very FIRST catch. All I can say is that it had to be the bait, no pros here.

Highly recommended for steams, creeks or rivers because they are mostly fast moving clear water. This particular color scheme seems to be more suited for clear and moving water.
