This works just like I hoped. To be 100% honest I got this for my son and he used in in the backyard to lessen the smoke from a joint. (Respect for neighbors) It took away alot of the excess smoke in between puffs. I smoke cigarettes so I use it too. Works 👠great.

The ashtray looks good but outside of looks is not the most functional one I have had. Unless you have your item inside the tray it does not remove the odor. I would not purchase this item again. The button broke a little after 30 days and is now not functional.

ADHD Version: If your worried about visible airborne smoke, buy a few holmes for $10 bucks or so and deal with the annoyance like batteries and the lid popping up half the time.Long Version:Pros:No batteries (big win there)Nice LookingNormal Square AshtraySingle Direction Air Exit (this is a big one)Oil Option (if you need or like a fresh scent)Simple (except for the directions lol)Washable Filters (available at least)Cons:Too Expensive considering it could be much better.Cord is thin and cheaply made (mine may have come finnicky, still testing)No flip up lid, I use my $10 Holmes more often for this reason (which is garbage--except that)Ashtray is a loose fit, ashes get into the fan and filter area.Instructions are horrid, I almost sent it back when it described the charging during use light as 'all lights will light up' instead of simply saying it would be purple instead of red or blue (a mix of both), thinking it was broken.It does not have the best suction in the world (maybe due to no lid, or the ashin issues), even on high, although its not weak by any means either.Bottom Line:If the Holmes version was made more durable with one exit for air and a charger it would be the top tier.If they incorporated a lid, tightened the ashtray area and gave you a quality cord, this would be worth every penny and the best on the market.I can't say it's worth the price as it stands right now if your trying to hide or mask your smoking (and until they give you a decent cord at least), coulda woulda shoulda been the best...especially for the price.Its a good product with massive potential, but it needs an upgrade at this price, works way better than the Holmes version consistantly for general clean air, but for a smokeless envirionment, it needs more.I'm keeping it, but I decided not to buy another like I was planning. Bought this due to a recent surgery as I never smoke inside but stuck in the bed for a couple weeks. It does consume smoke and after a week took it apart and everything was easy to clean and put back together. The essential oil sponge does work a little but I consider that as a bonus as I didn't order it for that purpose. I also have a small air purifier next to it south both combined there is hardly and smell of smoke. I don't know about the battery life as it's just easier for me to leave it plugged in at the moment.

It works to eliminate the smoke that you see, however if you hold up the ashtray exhaust vent in front of your face, while you can't see any smoke, if you close your eyes and smell the exhaust, the smell is the same as if you were holding a lit cigarette right under your nose. In other words the smell is just as strong as if you weren't using the filtered ashtray.That's why I HIGHLY SUGGEST you order a bottle of essential oil that has a strong smell. I use Sweet Orange. You put a few drops on the intake filter and now it works well to eliminate the smell. Also after I'm done smoking I leave the ashtray fan on for a little bit as it's blowing out the orange smell like a deodorizer. A little tablet is included with the ashtray that's supposed to be a deodorizer however it's super weak. I just put the orange oil drops on that too.

Granted I’ve only had it for a few hours, but the suction speed is incredible, it looks sturdy, and the essential oil system helps a lot. When I put eucalyptus oil into it, and turned it on, it absorbed all of the smoke and the air outflow smelled of strong eucalyptus. It also seems like it has a lot of strong parts. The only question is the test of time, but I seeing it in person, I’d have confidence.TLDR: It’s sturdy and effective. I’d recommend this to a friend.

Confusing instructions. You should just have to turn it on. I charged it and the power button turned purple, but I can't get the fan going! The button turns blue when I press it, but then it goes back to purple. I tried pressing it for long periods of time too and nothing happened. I am angry and I hope I get my money back.
