I converted my hilly south facing front yard into a terraced garden with three 30' x 4' raised beds. Given the high heat, I needed to add shade cloth to protect my veggies from the unrelenting sun. I used these snap clamps on 1/2 inch PVC frames I built (plus thick 40% shade cloth) and they've held up even during some pretty intense wind storms. I highly recommend them.
