These were installed in a small fishing boat drain ports. The boat was in the water for 3 full days. when we loaded it up, I pulled the plugs. not a drop of water drained out.

the tolerances are so sloppy that it does't really expand. A hole that is big enough for it to fit through it will no seal. I had to modify it to make it work after I replaced the first one I ordered and the replacement was just as bad.

Do not buy this if you expect it to work. Cheaply made, does.not expand when you flip the little handle and even if it did expand the handle does not stay flipped. Useless.
