I am using these racks for my skis. They are quite heavy duty and the spring device allows them to grip the skis better than the ones I used to own that only used gravity. Because of the springs it is a bit more difficult to put the skis in the rack but not a problem. They hold the skis in place much better than my previous racks

Overall this works very well, however there are some minor design issues with friction. It does hold my skis very nicely, and was very easy to mount. I would be very careful when installing as it makes some noise when I tightened it down making me leery.Usage is easy. Just put your skis or whatever between the grippers in an upward motion and then let it drop slowly and they will grab and hold. Have not had any slippage or anything over time. I was unable to use the indicated pole holders as the hooks are very small and the straps on my ski poles will not fit. I do want to comment on how rough the action is on the "grippers". They are spring loaded however the action is not as smooth as I would hope as if they did not design wear/slip surfaces into the device and as such I do not recommend it for any frequent use. Anything infrequent would be fine I am sure.Overall this isn't terrible and seems to work pretty well for my infrequent use however I would not think that it would last with heavy use.

This holds my daughter's skis and poles perfectly. Because the mounting holes for the rack are wide and won't reach two studs, I mounted a scrap piece of plywood to the stud, then this rack to the plywood. Very solid and keeps her skis out of the way so they won't get damaged. I recommend.

Mounting hardware was garbage. Screws were super weak, heads stripped easily. Used my own screws, but had to use ones with a smaller head to fit in the pockets. Grip material on the holders is a bit slippery, one pair of our skis won’t hold. Had to add strips of silicone insulation to the surface to get it to grip effectively. Mechanism is solid tho, and they’re easy to get skis and snowboards in and out. For the money, they’re ok

The rack holds skis or snowboards well and without risk of damage or falling out. It works well for my snowboard which my ski rack cannot hold. The rack is elegant and has five small screw holes to mount on the wall. I only had sheetrock to mount it on and the supplied anchors are unsuitable so you need to purchase drywall anchors. I don't like the thought of it falling off the wall and was surprised that the screws supplied are small and the holes in the unit will not take a 1 1/2" Number 8 screw (I show the supplied screws and a #8 screw) With the correct dry wall anchors with the smaller screws it has been fine so far.

I'm a big skier, but I've never had a good way of storing my skis. I either toss them under a bed or they're haphazardly placed in my garage. After last season I stored my two nicer sets in my soft travel bag. This worked fine for storage, but when it came time to pull a set out for a trip this current season, I had to pull out the entire bag, take it into the house, open it up, remove the skis, close the bag back up, return to the garage and stuff it back in the corner of my garage. I currently own three sets of skis with a fourth on the way (yeah, I know I have a problem...). The bag only holds two sets and while a great convenience for travel, is not a convenience when I want to put away or take out a set of skis. I also can't see the condition while they're being stored. Such as if they start to rust. That's why when I got the chance to review this wall mount ski holder I jumped at the opportunity. The mount came packaged nicely with all the hardware needed to mount. In fact, there are 5 mounting holes, but 6 screws and anchors are provided. The anchors aren't much to write home about, but they're sufficient, and having an extra if you drill too small of a hole and damage one trying to hammer it in (did this for a curtain rod in the past) is nice. And with 5, properly installed anchors, and proper handling, there shouldn't be any issue with this staying on your wall. Extra points if you manage to find a stud, but this wont span across to mount on two.But how does it hold your skis? Quite well. I haven't decided where to mount this at the moment, so I had to test it holding a set of skis by hand. This really does hold the skis quite snug. It isn't going to hold like a vice grip (so no worries about damaging your expensive gear), but it isn't going to just drop your skis or board either. I shook the mount like I meant it and the skis barely budged. It does comes with a small bungee cord if you're afraid it might slip. This isn't like a cheap broom holder that barely holds on and falls when you barely look at it. It really does hold on tight. I used my older and thinnest set of skis when testing the product.I have to say that if you're looking for something to hold your skis, snowboard, or other long item on your walls, this is certainly worth getting and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good product. About triple what it’s worth. Very large. Con- needs to be mounted to wood then to wall as it’s not the width of studs. You’d be a fool to use drywall plugs.
