I had not heard of snuffle mats before finding this product, and decided to give it a shot with my 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix. She is naturally very good motivated, but I had hoped that this would serve to slow her down a bit, and give her some mental enrichment. I am pleased to report that for her, it's perfect.The mat has lots of options for hiding food (to carrying levels of success). The main snuffling strands are good quality fleece, and after several months of use, are still in good condition. The small rings are also quite good for her. However, I have not had particular success with the small pockets. The stretch out a bit too easily but don't give the dog enough incentive to keep trying those areas (in our case).The packdown is quick and effective and it makes travel a breeze. This also served as a good stress reliever when we visit new places for longer periods of time (it is a familiar smell).I am very happy with this snuffle mat for it's durability, ease of use/cleaning, and effectiveness with my dog.All that said, I don't think this would work with every dog, and there are certainly some dogs that snuffling is more/less natural. If your dog is a natural snuffler, or if you are trying to give it an honest go (like in my case), I can't recommend this mat enough.

As household members are all returning to on-site work/school, my 3 & 8 year old dogs are left home alone all day for the first time in I don't know how long. As a result, they're probably confused and definitely bored. I've been getting them Kongs, wobbly treat dispensers and all sorts of other toys that really don't get the intended attention. After some research I found the snuffle mats might be a more stimulating item, and settled on this one, buying one for each of them. Although they're a little pricy, I could not be happier. It's huge and incredibly well made. Although I can see a couple of the little felt fabric pockets not lasting very long, overall it's super sturdy and has a lot of area for the dogs to forage through. It legit kept them busy for 45 minutes. Although they found all the treats within about 15 minutes, they walked away from their mats for a couple minutes, but then went back to double check that they found everything. Then they switched and inspected each others' mat for another 10-15 minutes. Although the treats were gone, the scent remained so it continued to keep their interest. These mats are worth every penny paid! I am so glad I didn't settle for a cheaper one. Anyone on the fence... you wont be disappointed!

Well constructed of tough fabric. Y little dog can’t tear it Multiple areas to hide kibble so pup can then hunt it down. Takes a bit of doing to hide kibble in many of the smaller pockets but dog loves challenge. Good, clever toy.

We got this mat after our dog trainer brought something similar to one of our training sessions. Apparently sniffing is a relaxing and engaging activity for dogs. Well, our dogs definitely find this mat engaging. I hid a bunch of small treats in this and they spent about 15 min finding them. I like this mat because it has different levels of difficulty which kept them engaged longer than the mat the trainer brought that only had the center part of this mat. The little triangles and Xs are more difficult for the dogs to get to but not so frustrating that they start to chew on it. Overall, a nice activity for my dogs.

I have 4 puzzle feeders for my (large) “mini†Aussie, and hand washing those has brought me to tears nearly every time I use them. I decided to try a snuffle mat and went with this one because of the ability to fold in the sides and buckle it shut. Oh, and the carrying handle. It arrived, I opened it up, and was pleasantly surprised how large it is. Brooklyn is sitting right at 37lbs at a week shy of 6 months old, and this mat (when properly loaded by her human), takes a solid 11 minutes for her to work through, double check, and then triple check before she believed she got everything. Yes, I timed her. She finishes a bowl of food in right around 45-50 seconds, so 11 minutes is incredible. It takes me about 5 minutes to load the mat and disperse the kibble to slow her down, but is worth it at dinner time to make sure she gets a mentally rewarding workout before bedtime. She is always zonked after this little adventure lol.It is pretty heavy duty, I oversee her mealtime so I make sure to pick it up and give it shake when she is finished to make sure she got that last piece of kibble, then I leave it up high to air dry before folding it up and buckling it down. She will never destroy this because she will never be left alone to destroy it, though I am fairly confident she could have a go and it would survive more than a couple of rounds. So I would give a high durability rating if used under human supervision as instructed.I throw it in the wash every Friday evening and am currently just using baking soda and hot water. I air dry. No idea if this is correct, but it still looks clean and doesn’t smell after washing 🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸The only downside is that I am unable to use the little corner pockets as I know she will destroy those since her snoot is wider than those little triangular openings. That could add an extra minute to meal time otherwise lol. It doesn’t matter though, this thing has so much real estate that we are completely happy with it. I may just take a seam ripper to those triangular pockets and open them up to her snoot size.I bought two other smaller boring snuffle mats to use at breakfast and lunch, which consist of just a bunch of fringes. Those are excellent as well when properly loaded. We get at least a 5 minute meal from those, and I can load those quicker. I am an official believer of snuffle mats.If you are like me and considering a snuffle mat, i highly recommend this particular one. I think this layout and design features are right on par with the majority of snoots, the size ensures a good slower meal, and the ease of washing and closing it up are perfect. We’ll be getting another one as backup in case this ever goes away!

Doesn’t slow my dog down enough- she still gets sick from eating her breakfast too fast. But it’s nice to have around for the other meals that she usually eats slower later in the day. I also successfully cleaned it in the washer (then air dry) after she got sick all over it.

Absolutely recommend this product! We have a beagle mix who gets bored very easily but it also very food motivated.. this snuffle Matt has been perfect at keeping her entertained and out of mischief. As is states in the description, it’s durable but not indestructible, she has torn off Smalls parts of the hiding spots on the edges, but that’s not a major issue. There’s still plenty of hiding spots and doggo absolutely loves it. Super easy to clean by throwing in the wash and folds up really well to put away. Two paws up.

This snuffle mat has many compartments where treats can be hidden. My dog love this and she enjoys sniffing out all the treats within. Would recommend this to anyone whose dog loves sniffing and foraging

Un tappeto da fiuto bello grande ed articolato. Utile per tenere i cani impegnati per un po', nascondendo all'interno delle strisce ed anelli di stoffa crocchette o biscottini. Non posso dare 5 stelle perché questi tappeti sono abbastanza costosi, rispetto ad i materiali e la fattura di costruzione. L'ho acquistato comunque perché, per i miei cani, sono sempre alla ricerca di soluzioni che li tengano impegnati e li facciano divertire anche quando siamo in casa. Nel complesso un buon prodotto
