I'm 6"2 270bs. How can this unit that is only rated for 220 ibs going to support me if I fall.. nort sure I trust my life to it..

Well put together and fine finish.I did not test with large rope. It held well on my 5mm test rope. I bought for re-engineering purposes. Keeping it.

I use it for fall protection when working high and aloan. I can place it one handed with a little practice. It holds great and is easy to move up or down. I dont see any damage to the rope. Just remember that if you do fall and are suspended, you need a second (hand) assender at the ready to get yourself up or down. This is great for the price.

The device is adequate for use at elevated heights, but was somewhat difficult to figure out the routing of the safety rope (no instructions). To function properly, the device MUST have a clip installed in the two holes to ensure there is no slippage of the rope.

Price does not always equal quality and function, but in this case it does. Purchased for price and the few time I will use it. It works but with poly rope will slip which to me is a safety factor. Could I have spent more money on something else, yes. No way to tell how well these work either. This will work but only as a back up in my opinion. If you need for everyday or frequent use I would purchase something else.
