I love the side table! I only purchased one to see how I liked it, but I am going to purchase my second one. Install was incredibly easy just a few screws for the top and the bottom wood pieces. It adjusts to any size sofa and it's extremely sturdy and stable! Great value for money. Buying my second one soon!

I had an old particle board and bent metal pipe style table like this that was too unstable for my liking, and I got this as a replacement.The bamboo is SO much better than particle board, both aesthetically and functionally. This base is much wider and the rubberized feet on this are better than the plastic caps that I had on the old one. This one is adjustable, too, up to about waist height on an average man. Raising it that high doesn't create any instability for me. The base piece is almost as big as the top, so you'd really have to be trying to weigh this down and purposefully introduce instability.I have spinal stenosis, so even with my gimpy hands, this wasn't difficult to assemble. The Allen Wrench needed is included, and I even had two more screws than needed. (8 are needed, 4 per side of the pipe, they supplied 10) On top of that, these weren't just hastily drilled pilot holes into the bamboo, there are metal screw inserts in each pilot hole to receive the screws. No odd alignments or issues to deal with.So, why 4-Stars instead of 5? A few potentially petty things depending on your personal feeling/experience. As another review mentioned, you can spin the top piece a full 360 degrees. I, personally, won't be foolish enough to do this in practice, but as I am also an engineer, I know there are plenty of regular folk who will mistakenly do this and accidents will happen. Additionally, the extension design for adjusting the height is an oval-shaped knob, and I was able to mount the top and effectively prevent myself from loosening the knob to be able to raise and lower the top. Plus, you can fully extend the top and bottom pieces where they come completely off.These are small things that could be addressed to prevent issues, but they aren't "make-or-break" issues. This is far better than what I had and well worth getting.

I took this little table out of the box, grabbed a screwdriver and bit to match the crews and had this table put together in less than 5 minutes from the time I opened the box and there was zero need to use the directions except to make sure I had the bracket turned the right direction.There were two extra screws in case I dropped one and the holes are metal inserts that were a total breeze to screw into. Can you tell I am thrilled with how easy this product was to assemble?The table itself slides under my couch on the bottom to prevent it from tipping over and is easily height adjustable as well as 360 degree rotating. It does require you to unscrew the knob to make adjustments.The wood is nice quality. I cannot speak enough about how well this little table is made!The size of it is so perfect, I have a couch that is super long and there is no room at the end for a traditional sized coffee table, yet I often have company over for watch parties. This is great for that too!

I got this as I like to lay on my couch and watch my iPad with various things. I always have had a harder time figuring out how to hold the iPad, without actually holding it. I used to have an extendable arm meant for a book, but it just wasn't strong enough to not sag under the weight of the tablet.I ran across this and decided to try it.It was easy to assemble. Just had to run in a total of 8 screws with the included Allen wrench and stand it up.The height adjustment lock is sturdy and has held a decent amount of weight (~10 lb) with ease.The surfaces are nice and smooth. Well finished and made of a heavy enough wood that I don't have any fear of the wood warping or otherwise being damaged with normal use.

This is coo, because it's easy to place and position where you want it. I think the top part is a little too small though, it barely fits my tablet (but I have a huge tablet) it actually doesn't even fit in the cutout they have, which seems kind of pointless, because my phone wouldn't sit right on it either.Build quality and adjustment are awesome, just wish it was a little bigger

Wow - what a great value for the quality! I live in a small condo loft, and I needed a small table for a chair just to set a cup of coffee on but use little space. This style of table is not new to me, but I loved this one as it is adjustable in every way. I can adjust the height (done) and the direction of the table so it can swivel over the chair for a laptop or on any direction. The base and slide under the chair completely for space saving. I love everything about it. Though I won't use for this purpose, this would be great in the center of a sofa to hold drink or snacks for "binge night" or to simply separate kids (you know what I mean, parents!).The construction is VERY sturdy and great quality. The wood table and base are completely flat, and the metal base is heavy. The bottom wood base has preinstalled rubber feet to prevent sliding and will protect floors. Zero wobbling. The groove in the top is deep and easier holds my phone with a case, and I have an 8-plus which is pretty big. Simple to assemble...took me less than 10 minutes. Love everything about it.One additional note: the swivel feature locks into place using the hand-screw knob, so once you decide, it stays in place so you can't knock it to the side (KIDS! Ha!).

Imagine using a bamboo cutting board, attach a metal pipe to one side, and another cutting board on the other end. Voila! This is how I describe this side table. The boards are so thin and light it wobbles on carpet. It’s very unstable and not recommended for drinks. It would help if the base is heavier and has an option to attach spikes for carpet. They just come with rounded rubber feet. Not worth $40 at the time of review.
