Used this on my night dives in Bali down to 90ft. Worked as well if not better than lights priced 5-10x more expensive!! Need I say more!

I like that it's waterproof and once it freezes up here in Northern Minnesota I'm definitely going to use this for ice fishing. Battery lasts for decent amount of time. And comes with charger and rechargeable battery. Love it so far!

Light lasted 1 trio. Did not flood. Just quit working all together.

I took this light to a Malpelo trip. 15 dives. 25 meters average depth. Not a single leak, the button worked very well, along the locking system.The light beam is more than good enough for signaling or night dives. I would 100% recommend this light.

I have multiple sofrin lights, both hand held and head lamps. This is by far the brightest one yes, and while I don't plan to go diving, I needed a truly waterproof light for camping, boating and fishing.Overall another great product.

Although I was a scuba diver when younger, I bought this to use in my job at a water treatment plant. The compact size and water resistance were the main attractions, easy to pocket and no worries if dropped in a water tank or sprayed with water during a repair. This is well built, especially at this relative budget price point, and the light was bright and well focused. And although the LED was slightly off center in the reflector, it's undetectable in the beam pattern. The beam has a wide smooth side spill with a well focused hot spot in the center.The joint in the light where it unscrews, to remove the battery for charging, is sealed with double o-rings that I have no doubt would seal well if I was using this for scuba diving. Yet unlike some dive lights from days long gone, they are not so large or stiff that it makes unscrewing difficult. It operated smoothly and I was surprised to see the double o-rings. I also liked the rotating feature for locking the light On or Off. Much better than the patterned button presses other lights use. No more accidental activations and retries since the lock activation and button press are different. The button press is relatively deep. I like it since there is a more definite press needed to switch modes, and accidental changes even if not locked are unlikely. But others may not like the slower changing of modes when needed. I also like the memory feature when turning the light off so it comes back on at the same level. But again, others may prefer always starting at a set level so this may be a drawback for them. A final maybe plus / maybe minus is the battery size. The 21700 size does allow for more capacity and runtime. But if the battery goes bad, the standard 18650 used in most lights would be easier to find.On area of confusion was in the instructions. Although the listing mentions a single lumen and runtime figure for each of the three modes, the instructions mention three sets of values each for both the medium and high modes. A check of the manufacturer's website provided no clarification. However, another site provided the answer. A testing graph on that site showed a stepped down output over time approximately matching the values shown in the instructions. There is a mention in the instructions of reduced output at higher temperatures. It appears that this 3 step reduction is how that overheat protection is provided. And it seems a good solution with well balanced outputs and runtimes.One small area where the build quality is lacking is in the choice of hardware used in the lanyard attachment. Although the lanyard cord and adjuster are nice and beefy as would be expected in a dive light, the split ring and clasp seem to be more jewelry grade. I chose to just remove them and attach the lanyard directly to the loop on the end of the light body. It was nicely sized for this use and worked well. I anticipate this light will serve me well at work in the coming months.

Very happy with this dive light. Well built, super bright, and the perfect size. Stays charged forever.
