My husband does metalwork and all kinds of things like that. He seems to like this rod and wanted it. It's good for electromagnetic items but he made some pendants with it.

This is certainly solid iron and I'm happy with it, but the rod I received was rusty on both ends. I only docked 1 star because this doesn't make a huge difference for my project needs, but something to be aware of for those expecting a spotless iron rod.
