The material and build quality is at least as good as the original OM version just bigger. works great to block light without smashing my nose.The downside is that it sticks out more and can sometimes snag on things but that is an accepted trade off with any product like this.

Purchased this for my Olympus E-M1 MkII after the original viewfinder hood fell off and was lost. This is significantly longer than the original, but it is made of a soft silicone so can be compressed to fit in a bag if necessary. Definitely makes the camera easier to use in bright sunlight and is also more comfortable than the original.

Good: It is much softer and more accommodating than the original eyepiece, especially if you wear glasses.Bad: It is also easier to damage, especially when installing.Good: It projects outward from the body more than the original, so you will get less sweat or makeup on the camera screen.Bad: This means that it adds to the camera's profile, and while it can be pushed in/down, see above re: damage.

Works great, latches on and removes easily. The only issue is thaat the port at the bottom for the eye detector is just barely big enough and the soft hood there can deflect upward and trigger the screen shutoff. I just snipped it away at both sides of the little gap and that seems to have fixed it. A great value!

When the eyecup of my OM-D E-M1 MK.II came unattached and vanished in the street, in a country with no Olympus/OM dealers, I panicked. Perhaps not essential, but it makes a big difference. I went online, and found this item on Amazon, which had the bonus of a deeper eyecup. It was high;y recommended, a very reasonable price, and with delivery to Brazil. Great. I bought one and it arrived within a week, on the day promised. Tthat’s a big surprise for anything imported in Nrazil.So, to sum up, great service, good price, and exactly what I needed. It was easy to fit and probably worth buying just for the deeper flexible eyecup, even if you don’t need to replace the original item.

It is comfortable. It fits. But I kept having problems with the LCD screen not working as it should. I realized it was this device and it was tricking the camera into thinking I had put my eye to the sensor. Going back to the original.

I really like this eyecup. It makes the viewfinder much easier to see in direct sunlight.The first one I bought lasted about six months, then the rubber tore where it attaches to the plastic mount.It is good enough that I am buying another one. If it lasted longer I would give it five stars.

This viewfinder Eye Cup for my OM 1 is very helpful at restricting stray light with looking through the viewfinder. A bit tricky to get on; I had to check out the OM 1 manual to verify what to do. But a very good addition.
