It's great to be have a solar panel on the South wall in the sun and the LED lamp on the North wall in the shade where light was needed ! My front door is recessed and gets very brief sunlight but I need to see my keys if entering door at nighttime this has solved that problem since the very long wire permits the solar collector to be located where the sun is strong facing south! The LED lamp has several settings depending on how much sun power is available. So I first tried the dusk to dawn maximum light setting but it didn't stay on till dawn as the sun exposure wasn't long enough. Then I set it for low light until motion detected setting and it lasted until dawn (except if raining all day!!) on bright light days! In my carport the other unit has the solar collector on the south backyard wall so it gets sun most of the day and the LED lamp stays bright longer on a North inside wall making my vehicle more secure from cat converter robbers! Great results with electricity for FREE!UPDATE 12/2024 Still working well IF BRIGHT SUN ALL DAY but now in winter daylight is short + cloudy & rain 2 or more days battery can't charge enough & not working after dark like usual .

I initially purchased two and loved them so much, I decided to get two more. They illuminate around my house so well and stay on most of the night. I like the various modes, and the length of the cord is a plus, to find the perfect place to get the most direct sunlight.

it works. first of all this thing is tiny. maybe the size of your hand. not that bright. i guess if you just need a solar light and you needed it to work around areas where you can get sunlight in a certain area and run the light area to a place where there is no sunlight then yes this will help you out. so if you know you can use the length of the wire to get light in a area where sunlight is not possible then you can make use of this. i probably would not get this again depending on the situation. if you have direct sunlight in ALL situations then i would get something with high lumens. higher lumens = more brightness or so they say.i take that back on brightness. when it detects motion it is quite bright and covers a good area. depending on the height you install it. i installed it about 8 or 9 feet and it is quite bright for its small size. however if you constantly set the motion off it will use up the battery fast.3rd edit: going to bump it to 4 stars. I said I wouldn't get this same model before but I bought 2 more. The biggest reason is convenience. I learned some valuable lessons during my solar light quest and I come to conclusion that the area you're trying to cover, height you install it, not expecting a street light from it and this item works as intended. During my solar lights quest I have bought one 600watt, 300watt, 150watt, lights slightly bigger than these, and now I have 4 of these. With that knowledge I now can focus these lights on a target area where I can simply zip tie these onto a fence and cover a smaller area where they will be very effective. If I could redo, I would have gotten 3 of the 150watt and 4 or 6 of these and have all the areas I needed covered. My point is make sure you have an idea of what you want to do and choose the right lights for that area and not make it do something it can't. For example I stuck this in a 10 foot pole and thought it would cover the front yard.Edit (4): after the winter storm last week of January 2023, somehow these still managed to come on after about 5 to 6 days of clouds, snow, sleet, and rain. I don't know if they are just battery efficient or they still managed to charge. 3 other different types of solar lights didn't come on or were extremely dim. I'd say these have been very reliable and weathered the storm (no pun intended).edit (5): i bought 2 more. the others are still going strong without a hitch. i decided to get 2 more for sort of decoration, its effectiveness, and it is very discreet. i already zipped tied 2 to the front gate and the solar part of it blends in so well i cant even see it. while the light portion is very discreet and provides some decor. so i'm just trying to space them out to where they just look nice along the fence and very impressive and effective looking at night. noticing neighbors down the road are trying to light up their yards at night with solar as well. these have been very convenient, reliable, and i found so many places to put them while giving the yard a decorative look. a relative has been so impressed with all the solar i have done around the property that i bought a couple for her too.

These solar outdoor lights are as bright as I need them, the motion detection works well. I've got various critters coming to my backyard fence at night so the solar lights along with my game camera get some interesting pictures. We get everything from deer to coyotes and raccoons.I would buy again, I would recommend.

These lights work well in my shed and illuminate the inside and the door area at night without the need for wiring.

I bought this pair of lights several months ago. I mounted the LED panel inside a shed with the solar panel mounted outside the shed, running the connecting wired around a gap between the shed door and door frame. The LEDs turned on in all modes IF the solar panel was NOT connected. However, the LEDs would NOT turn on IF the solar panel WAS connected. I was testing in the daytime, and assumed that I must have pinched the wire and created a short circuit. I was wrong.Putting the problem aside for a time, I came back and tried the second solar panel -- same outcome: no light when the solar panel was connected, but proper light operation when the solar panel was not connected (note: I was closing the shed door for these tests, and the inside of the shed is pitch black with the door closed). Testing was again done in daylight. Then I took the solar panel down from the shed exterior and brought it inside the shed -- and when I closed the shed door, the LEDs went on even though the solar panel was still connected. Further testing showed that the LED will NOT work IF there is too much light shining on the connected solar panel -- which includes my overhead walkway light between my house and the shed. So, during the daytime, the LED's will not work, and during the nighttime the LED's will not work due to the nearby walkway light illuminating the solar panel.Accordingly, this product is USELESS for illuminating a shed or other dark enclosure if there is too much light hitting the solar panel. So I'm junking these units and looking for another product that actually works for my scenario.

I mounted two of these lights 10 feet apart to illuminate part of my backyard for my dogs and even with the advertise 3000 women brightness my LED flashlight is significantly brighter. What I did like was how easy they go together and how easy it is to install..

Light is very bright but the motion sensor is weaker than it should be. You need to get closer by 2M to activate the light

These lights are excellent for those that need an independent light source. Provides more than sufficient bright light for a small patio. I bought two and would definitely buy again
