Got two sets of these to replace battery and corded electric lights for outside bushes. Solar is so much more convenient and these work and get enough sun to twinkle bright at night. I love the variable programming for different types of light flashing and it's easy to do with one touch of a button.I got some thinner wire fairy lights for the porch railings because I wanted those to be less visible during the day, but the thicker wire in these is helpful for working with the bushes.I'd been wanting solar outdoor lights for a looooong time. Glad I got these!Update!: You have got to buy these. I actually put them up outside and can see how every other light has a different intensity at night and these also have the appearance of fragile fairy lights minus the thin delicate wiring. They look perfect on bushes and trees and even strewn on the ground. And they would look great as strong lights for a dreamy outdoor faux star ceiling for parties and other outdoor events. Love these!!!!!

Nice Halloween lights. They appear to be very cheap however they're quite bright and work well. Just be careful if you pull too hard when trying to arrange them you may rip them apart, unfortunately something I did when taking them down.

Was skeptical about these lights. But once I added it outside with the solar panel, started working really well the same evening.Tangle resistance: Not bad but just need to keep it aligned while you roll it up.Brightness: not very bright but just enough. There are several modes so could save battery for longer performance.Installation: very easy to install and take down.Value for money: absolutely. Good price for the product.Pics: added pics during daylight just to give you an idea of the solar panel and the led brightness even during daytime.

Very tiny lights but surprisingly bright colors . For solar, they only last 4 or 5 hours.

I used these lights in a mailbox sign project. I built a 6X12" wooden box with a plexiglass cover with our street numbers on it. I painted the plexiglass white, then stuffed all of these lights inside the box. I attached the solar panel/ controller to the top of the mailbox post. It works great! The lights produce a nice, soft backlight glow, coming on at sunset. I was pleasantly surprised that they ran ALL NIGHT the first night I installed it - didn't expect that! I guess the battery is pre-charged at the factory. Since then, we've had several rainy days in a row, so they haven't fully charged during the day, so the lights have been off when I awoke pre-dawn. Still, if they run for a few hours after sunset, that's all I need. Nobody is trying to find my street number at 2 AM, and if they are, I don't want them to visit!I'll add photos of this setup as soon as it stops raining here!

The instructions say that these panels will not collect light energy unless the unit is turned on. However, I put up a strand on an overcast day and left it off. The next day was overcast as well, and in the afternoon I remembered to turn the power on. Once the sun set, the light strand came on and was going strong for nine hours and I don't know how much longer because I went to bed. The thing is, I had already bought five strands of this same brand prior to this, and the others don't last this long. So this inconsistency caught my eye. Either the battery for the newest strand is fresh and the others are old (all bought within the past six months) or I suspect that the instructions are wrong and that the panels collect energy whether they are off or on, and if the unit is not turned on, then the strand has more to give when you finally turn the unit on. You cannot easily turn off the unit for a couple of days to collect energy for better performance, if you have it installed up high and need a ladder; who has time to babysit these things? The item details indicate that control is "remote" but no remote comes with these high priced solar strands. This is an incorrect product description. I can't surmise why else this would have happened, though, except that the strand got two days of overcast light and had more charge on the battery because the unit remained "off" until I then remembered to turn it on. Two of the strands I purchased do not have the mode I like the best, which is a gentle fading in/out...so that is another inconsistency in quality control. Someone mentioned that "eventually" the rechargeable batteries in these things fade and then you can pop the back off the unit and replace with a new rechargeable battery. Well how much do those cost on top of what these already cost, per strand? Some of the strands I purchased seem to have old or underperforming batteries. The panels are positioned in well lit areas; nothing is in deep shade. I find myself dissatisfied overall with the variability and inconsistency in performance. Now my brand new strand, after a full day of bright sun (granted, it's November sun) gave us three hours of lights before quitting for the night. That is day #2 of operation while the unit is switched "on". What's the point of paying $8 a strand for something that probably has an old battery in it? At the very least, the seller should offer a 12 month warranty on a solar product, to be honest. There is no way to tell how old or fresh the rechargeable battery is that is inside the panel.

Bought these to decorate our little well in front of our house that wouldn’t require an outlet. I love the fact that it is solar and the lights actually last for the entire night. It was easy to set up and was actually really good quality for the cheap price. It has a multitude of options for the lights which was fun to choose from. Highly recommend.

We bought to add to our Christmas lights but we decided to keep them up longer. Nice lights and you change there brightness and patterns. I totally recommend them due to their price and quality
