I don't think it'll last very long outside. But the red light is much better than the white. I am skeptical that it will last outside but it's not a bad purchaseAnd the white light is not that easy to see. Not a terrible purchase but you're not getting a super sturdy item

I got this light after someone ran into my mailbox and destroyed it. I was hoping that the light would help future night-time motorists notice and avoid the mailbox. There is a button on the light that turns it on and starts it blinking. From what I can tell, it blinks until it runs out of solar energy. Once it runs out, the button has to be pushed again to turn it back on. I was not anticipating the necessity of turning the light on manually every night. I was looking for something more like the solar lights along my garden paths: sun goes down, lights turn on, then they charge themselves when the sun comes up and turn on by themselves again the next night. This strobe light doesn't seem to work that way.

I was hoping this light would also work in daytime while it was also being charged. No dice. Not useful for my needs and I will have to look elsewhere.

The Solar Strobe Warning Light is a bit expensive for what it is, but it works well and is quite visible.One important thing to note is that it has a dusk to dawn sensor, so it only activates after dark. Overall, it's a reliable and effective safety light for mailboxes, driveways, and other areas.
