Worked exactly as advertised for steel fasteners. Powered it by a large portable battery inverter. Was able to heat multiple nuts to red hot in 30 seconds each and remove. Used on a toyota tacoma exhaust down pipe. Would highly recomend.

Thought I could remove old turbo mount nuts with this tool but nope you can NOT. My believe is that exhaust hardware is been through to many heat cycles and therefor are way less magnetic than regular steel. Because as stated it heats whatever is magnetic. So as a shop owner that basically eliminates 90% of the bolts and nuts that I would use this tool for when working on vehicles

Loved it. Works good but first use the thermal insulation on the coil broke and started to break off when it was cooling. Exposing the copper coil.Other then that works quick. It’s pricy but it’s sorta worth it.

My review is partially in the order with the attachments sold separately. Seriously, if you wrench on old crusty vehicles or get than one fresh from the dealer that they slathered loctite on something, this tool is amazing. Sometimes it takes a minute to get something hot enough, but it gets fasteners and pieces of metal literally glowing red hot in a fraction of the time a MAP torch takes. A must have for wrenching.

This is a great tool. Don't use every day but beats dragging out torches when need to heat up nuts and bolts. Especially in tight places. Thanks

I am a shade tree mechanic, with a decent amount of experience. On every project on my cars I run into a bolt that has been "rust welded" by the harsh New England winters. Unless you see it, it's hard to believe that even after a few years those bolts are permanent . With a little practice you can heat the bolt, not melt anything, and have it off in minutes without having to grind, cut, punch, tap and replace every bolt you need to remove.
