Steps For Replacing The Soldering Iron Tip
- Unscrew the metal sleeve counterclockwise
- Insert a new soldering iron tip
- Put on a metal sleeve
- Tighten the sleeve with force

This works remarkably well. I’m apparently used to a far weaker soldering iron, because when I plugged this one in I figured I’d have a fair bit of time before it was adequately up to temperature. Nope. It heats up FAST. Love it! Cord is maybe a bit short and the little stand is a bit of a joke. But it sure works well. Is the adjustable temperature accurate…? No clue. Works fantastic for insetting brass nuts into plastic pieces though! It’s so fast, I have no issues with breaking it out for just a single nut. Not exactly an arduous task to use.

I used this as a quick way to heat press some 1/4" threaded inserts into a custom mount I made for my midi, worked perfectly fine and didnt seem to have any issues with heating near the desired temperature. for something this cheap I would expect that it does get a little bit off but it shouldn't matter in the long run. If the thing dies before I'm able to do my next project with it I'll update this review.

product took longer than expected to arrive and was Deads-on-arrival looked like a decent iron with all the interchangable tips I needed so I ordered a replacement instead on a refund. Now it’s going to take a month to arrive..

When I saw how close the on/off switch was to the actual soldering iron, I didn't even bother turning it on and just held it up and tried moving it around and I'm glad I did. Way too clumsy and bulky for me that way it hangs in the air while you're holding the soldering iron :(
