For the price, I was expecting it to be mostly plastic. I was happily surprised to find that it is metal and has a nice weight to it. Seems like a great deal for the low price.

For a simple soldering iron it does its job if your only doing minimal soldering and don't need temp control.

I had Both a portable solder iron and man has this been a life changer. The little stand it came with was not up to par. I forgot how nice the size and appearance was on a table. I owned similar a while ago before it was borrowed without permission. Thus feels like it has a little more weight and also feels a little bit more sturdier. Great buy at a great price.
