I like the digital temp readout and adjustable heat setting. Instructions are pretty good on how to adjust the temperature and even the possibility to calibrate the temperature. Readout is changeable from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Iron comes with a number of soldering tips and some solder and paste flux. Really nice soldering kit that should be well worth the price for anyone doing at least occasional soldering.

I am pleasantly surprised by this iron. I packed away my soldering station and used this exclusively for a couple of weeks.I works fine for light work, like PC boards and tinning wires. It starts to struggle when the pieces get larger or there are large wires to heat. It really had problems where there was a large mass of metal that needed to be soldered/unsoldered. My soldering station would have no problem. The cord does not seem to be heat resistant, so I expect to see some burns on the cord in the next few months. The temp readout seems pretty accurate, but it is not reflective of the actual heat at start-up. While the readout reached operating temp in a few seconds, the til lagged by a minute. Not bad, but not really quick. The holder and sponge are worthless and I tossed mine. All in all, it is a real value as a basic soldering iron for light tasks. It has a place on my workbench for quick and basic soldering, but it will, by no means, replace my soldering station.

Very nice, you can not only adjust its temperature but it has an offset calibration setting for very accurate temperature control. It can display in C or F and it remembers all its settings even after unplugging from the outlet. The tips are very easy to change. It even came with a small block of rosin flux. The rest stand seems to be made from Bakealite, so the tip won't melt it, but don't drop it on a hard surface as it may break. The sponge compartment is a nice touch for out of the box use, but it is a bit small so I use my larger sponge. The instruction book was informative but you have to interpret the translation a bit, but it is helpful. It came with a standard tip plus 5 more various tips. It also came with a good amount of solder. The iron is lightweight, comfortable, and very easy to handle. The LCD display is very easy to read. It goes from off to 760 F in under 2 minutes.Update: While handling the soldering iron, my hand would sometimes rest up against the buttons, depress them, and change the temperature on me (usually the white minus button which lowers the temperature). What I did: I used a shop razor blade (the kind used for razor scrapers) and carefully trimmed each button flush. Now my hand won't press the buttons - I just use blunt ended tooth picks to press in the buttons. Works fine, lasts long time.

For small jobs around the house, it gets the job done. Yes, Good value for the money, not heavy. Heat level is good. Not sure if it's MacGyver approved, but worth it.

Good for the price. If there was any more I could ask from it, it's a carrying case, or box for it to fit in, but it worked well for my needs and that's all that matters.Heats to maximum in seconds

Loving this soldering iron already. Lightweight, it heats up fast, is precise, while also handling larger connections better than expected for its size. Worth noting, all the pictures show Fahrenheit, but my iron shows Celsius. If there's a method to switch between the two, it was not immediately apparent. However, it has a critical flaw that I have not seen mentioned in any of the reviews I read so far: The temperature adjust buttons are large, easy to press, and right on the grip where one would hold the soldering iron. Repeatedly during use, I have experienced it start struggling to solder, only to find that I had inadvertently held the [-] button down while soldering and decreased the temperature to 180°C! (If you're soldering electronics, you really don't want it much lower than 400°C.) Another time, I found I had increased it to 480°C. Quite frankly, I would prefer the analog dial found on some other irons to the buttons. At the least, the buttons need to be made smaller and flatter, requiring more force to operate.

It's a very simple machine but it seems to work well. I had only ever used a soldering iron at a stained glass studio and then we needed one for some kids' soldering practice. This was relatively well priced so I got it. It seems to work great but my expertise isn't the best. No complaints.
