I guess I thought it might be cordless because of the advertising, but it really isn't. The cord is soft and flexible, so it doesn't really get in the way or limit hand movement. That aside, the iron gets up to temp very fast and the tips are nice and small for doing delicate work. I purchased the version with additional tips and I think it's a good value for the extra $. The quality of the product is excellent. The screen is bright and readable and the rubber insulating grip is textured for control and comfort. The power button is used to toggle on/off (holding the button for more than 1 second) and for accessing the custom menus (brief press of the button). The temperature scale can be toggled between C/F, the sleep timer seems to go up to 90seconds, you can select the language, and the unit has a calibration mode which I have not used, but the instructions describe how to access that function.

This soldering iron gets up to temperature very quickly. The screen says it is OLED and I was skeptical at first but it appears actually to be an OLED screen.I appreciate the temperature regulation, It works perfectly and smoothly raises or lowers the temperature in seconds.The extra tips I paid for were well worth the money, I especially needed the skinny tips, they really help with very small solder points, however, the solder likes to work its way up the thicker part of the tip but I can make due.This soldering iron works perfectly for just beginning my work with adding boards and other hardware to my projects. I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend!

Just used for some hobby wiring for some 22awg wire. Worked in a pinch and heated up quickly enough to redo any bad joints without too much of a delay.Just wish the stand were a bit better, just cause it heats up quickly doesn't mean it cools down quickly.

Iron showed constant "iron open" message when turned on with tip installed, instructions gives no answer. Then iron stopped showing display when plugged in. Very disapointing. Cheap construction, poor quality.
