I'm 6'01" and 176 lbs and bought a size large. My waist is between a 34 and a 36 but definitely closer to a 34 (I wish they made size 35 because that would be perfect). The shorts fit my waist perfectly. They are super well made. They are thick and have 2 layers. The only small issue is that they are are slightly too long for me. They fit so well on my waist that I would not go down to a size medium because although they may be a bit shorter, they will probably be too tight. I like my shorts on the long side, meaning down to the top of my knees. These shorts go right to the bottom of my knees. It is not a ridiculous length, but I am using them for lifting weights in the gym which usually includes me wearing tight fitting shirts that wick away the sweat rather than cotton t-shirts that absorb it and are looser fitting. The shorts appear a little larger when paired with a tight shirt. You might have to end up wearing them higher up on your waist. For a typical baggy basketball style, they are perfect. Overall, they are great high quality shorts. I would give them a 9 out of 10. I would definitely buy them again and will look at the other colors.

Very comfortable, stretchy, breathable shorts. Great for a summer evening. However, they do run very long. As a 6'1" guy, I'm not used to shorts hanging below the knee. 😆

Excellent Made, Fit well, Long enough to go just below the knees, perforated material Has inside silky lining so it's not see through and smooth, Has pockets Why anybody would pay 3 times more For a name brand for lesser quality? Just wish They also had ones withTwelve inches more leg and called them warm up pants with the same lose fit and quality. I just went back and ordered 3 more pairs and wil start replacing old ones in my draw for this one I want to ware.

They're comfortable. Definitely run BIG. Like they're long. VERY flimsy. I've only had them 2 days and there's already a hole in the crotch area, and string hanging out from 2 different spots, that I can see. I ordered a 3x the first time ... BIG mistake (pun intended). They were HUGE! I usually like my clothes a little loose fitting. But these 3xl were GARGANTUAN! So this time I made a drastic drop to a regular large. And they're still really long! But they fit comfortable on the waist. They don't fall off, I don't even need to mess with the string. Also they don't look like South Pole The Logo isn't right. But I did do some research and apparently it is South Pole, just like a side brand. Like "Phat Farm" had "Baby Phat". Overall they're pretty cheap material. As I'm writing this I spotted another piece of string hanging! Earlier I said 2 spots, now it's 3!! Ehhh overall not great. But they look nice, and feel good. Just cheap and big.

I have a couple of Southpole T Shirts which I really like. I'm impressed by their quality. That said, with the pandemic and hot weather in New England I was shopping for light weight shorts. Noting my satisfaction with the T Shirts, I decided what could go wrong? Where do I begin? I bought 3 pairs of shorts. The Royal Blue shorts felt great when I put them on and that's when it ended. Several seams in the waist band were not finished properly. I found myself pulling loose threads and I am having the seams resewn by a tailor. I am apalled by the failure of quality control. I would expect better from Southpole and their foreign contractors. So now the shorts will cost me TWICE the money.Now on to the pair of red shorts. Loose threads and incomplete seams in the waist band and crotch. But worst of all? The drawstring is 12 inches too short! Once again, off to the tailor with these shorts to repair seams and now I have to buy a replacement drawstring. So, another pair of Southpole shorts will cost me twice the money because I am sending it out for repairs. Normally I would think about returning them but it has been extremely hot in New England and I don't have the patience to wait for replacement pairs.I've been an Amazon Prime member for several years. The selection of items is the most diverse on the planet and that has been the greatest draw for me. The shorts look and feel great. The poor workmanship takes all of that away. Think twice before you buy.

My son loves these shorts. He is 6'3" and they come to his knees - he has trouble finding shorts long enough, so these are definitely meant for a taller person unless you like them really long. The pockets are really deep and the colours are vibrant. We've washed them several times and they look exactly the same. Great value, I've bought several pairs.
