I have tried a few different climbing structures designed for kids and they were either made of plastic or thin metal. Because of this, they were flimsy or only somewhat sturdy. While some of those were easy to put together, I would rather have a product that is a more difficult to put together, is much stronger and will last. The instructions were clear that putting this together is a two person job, however, I was able to put it together by myself. There is no snap in system. It uses bolts, washers and nuts with connector plates all that are very heavy duty. The box was very heavy. While that might seem like a negative, it made me very happy because I realized right from the beginning that the materials were heavy duty.I gave this product a five star rating for durability and sturdiness. I gave his product a three star for easy to assemble. Please note that my preference is to have a product that is a little more difficult to assemble so this is not a negative for me, but I want to be honest in my review.Although the product is not designed for adults, it can handle up to 1000 pounds and I tested this by climbing on it myself with three kids on it handled all of our weight without a problem.If you are looking for a product that resembles what you would see at a park and you do not need to move it often because it is heavy, this is the product for youA note about the installation - Make sure to tighten the bolts until they cannot be tightened anymore. Leaving them even a little bit loose will cause stability issues.

When we decide to replace our small toddler swing set for our 3- and 4-year-old, we originally considered buying a standard swingset. However, our backyard is small, with low trees, and we had difficulty finding something that fit easily but was still entertaining. We also had been battling a problem with black widow spiders in the yard, and were hesitant to add something with a lot of hidden, enclosed spaces. In the end, we decided to purchase this instead of a traditional swing set and couldn't be happier!We are very impressed with the quality. This set is very sturdy, and has even held my husband's weight (about 185 lbs) without a groan or flex. It is the perfect height for us - my kids will be able to climb on it for several years, but it isn't so high that I worry about their safety now. It was a bit time-consuming to assemble, and definitely would be hard for a single person to assemble alone.As far as the play and interest aspect, we've found that our kids play with it often and for long periods of time. Sometimes it is a rocket ship to the moon, others a lion cage. Sometimes they like to hang upside down from the bars like monkeys. My son even tosses balls through it like a giant basketball hoop. Honestly, I feel like they play with this more than they would a traditional swing and playhouse set! Not only do they enjoy it, but we've seen them making great improvements in their motor skills and balance, while increasing their upper body strength. Their confidence and stability while climbing has increased dramatically in just a few months. We definitely recommend it!

This item is very sturdy. I'm 250+ and it holds me easily. It takes a while to put it together though and you'll have some very tired hands after. I would not recommend building this on a hard surface because you'll scratch the paint. Best to be built on grass. I have some scratch marks from building it on a dirt floor. It took my son and I about 1.5 hours to build this and we were moving as fast as we could in order to try and surprise my daughters. I would recommend having a helper and set aside at least 2 hours to build. If you have arthritis in your hands or little hand strength, you may need someone to help you put the caps on.I really wish they had some wheels on one end of it for people that have it on grass. It can be picked up and drug across the grass, but it takes some work. If there were some wheels, it would be so much easier to move around. You can however, put a kid's ride on under one side and drag it around pretty easy. Odds are you'll have one of those around if you own this.Update 7/18/2017:My girls still love it and I haven't seen a bit of rust on it. Still very happy with this purchase!Update 1/4/2024:My girls haven't used it much the last couple years, so I gave it to one of my neighbors that has young ones. Some of the plastic caps came off, but the unit was still strong as ever. Very happy I purchased this for my girls so many years ago.

The weight limit isn’t totally accurate, but it is functional for my two children under 5 to play on it. The color has lasted and it seems mostly durable.

I paid full price for this and don't commonly review items. Trying to help other parents with important purchases though.First, assembly: I assembled this by myself using a couple ratchets in about 4 hours. There are parts of the assembly that would have been much faster with two people. I had all parts necessary and one extra of all the bolts, washers, nuts, etc. The only assembly 'problem' I had was adjusting everything to be perfectly square while tightening and that was likely because I am a perfectionist.Second, product quality: Solid as a rock after tightening. I could climb on this thing. I noticed a couple scratches on the bars but nothing serious. The color scheme is very bright and vibrant--looks good next to my blue/white swingset. It does seem a bit big for my 3 year old (slightly above average size) when it comes to actually climbing up the dome but by next year it should be fine. He did say he loves it and can climb with a boost from me or just swing from underneath. Also excited about fort building opportunities.Overall: A solid addition to backyard play area. Seems very sturdy and structurally sound. Three year old loves it. Feeling proud of myself for assembling it. A happy dad.

Thought it would be a little rubbish but actually its really good it comes in a kit form obviously but it fits together well with all the relevant fixings. Its not to intrusive in the Garden and was set up in a couple of hours. The supplier was easy to deal with and very responsive. please bare in mind it gets delivered in one box so it takes a couple to lift in and out a car.
