I ordered this set of SpaceAid China Storage Containers 6 Pack, Stackable Hard Shell Quilted Cases with Soft Plate Separators, Moving Supplies Packing Boxes for Dishes, Plates, Platters, Mugs, Cups (Grey) because I was looking for storage for a set of china that belonged to my great grandmother. This six piece set has room for a variety of different sized pieces; not only did I find a safe storage spot for most of a large antique set of china that belonged to my great grandmother, but the mug container allowed me to clean out our mug storage shelves. We have a lot of mugs that are sentimental because of the design, but we don’t use every day—they popped neatly into the mug container, and our cabinet has much more room. These storage containers are made from a synthetic woven fabric; the sales page doesn’t give any more information about the fibers used. The containers are grey and sturdy; they have zippered tops to keep your china protected and dust free. They come with a small sheet of instructions, but assembly is quick and quite basic. The outer fabric looks a bit like a tweed in a mid-range grey. Each container has two sturdy handles on the side for easy lifting and a slot on the front for a cardboard label you can write on. The zippers are black plastic and are thick and sturdy, not the flimsy slim plastic type. I needed to straighten out the corners of the zipper tracks on two of the boxes, once I had finished, all six zippers worked nicely.Inside, the boxes are lines with a lightweight, lighter grey fabric that is quilted; this is on the inner lid and all four sides. The bottom of each container is fabric, but each container comes with an insert that serves as a stiffener/bottom piece. Both the inner walls of the containers and the stiffeners seem to be padded with quilting and cardboard; they add a lot of structure to the pieces. These are easy to assemble; they just pop up into box shapes and then you add the bottom piece. The mug holder has interlocking pieces that create small sections for each piece, there are two notched horizontal pieces and three notched vertical pieces that divide the container into a dozen small compartments for mugs or smaller china pieces. I also found this useful for matching accessory pieces in my china set, like salt and pepper, small vases, decorative boxes, ashtrays, etc.The set I received consisted of six pieces, four for plates, one for mugs, and one for platters. Each container except the mug came with felt rounds for stacking china; the mug box came with padded pieces to create smaller slots for storage. The measurements of the pieces I received:10†x 10†with 11 felt circles12†x 12†with 6 oval felts17†x 12 1/2†with five slotted pieces to make a grid for mug storage7 1/2†x 7†with 12 felt rounds9 1/2. X 9†with 12 felt rounds17†x 12 1/2†with 12 felt roundsI was struck by the size differential between the containers and the vintage china. This family heirloom set of dishes is much smaller than today’s plates; now that I have them stored safely with easy access, I’m planning to use them more often. The smaller plates are an excellent soft reminder of portion control.I’m very happy to have my family china stored in easy-to-retrieve boxes; they were all individually wrapped in bubble wrap in a large box, and I was nervous about using them because it was such a hassle to take them out and re wrap them when I was finished.According to my grandmother and father, my great grandmother had these shipped from Europe to the Hawaiian islands back in the teens or 20s, and I was always worried about breaking one (stories about how many years they had been treasured, without any breaking, etc.) Now I’m older and wiser and believe beautiful things should be used, not stored, and I’m very pleased to have found this set of storage boxes, which keep this china safe and easy to access. At the current price ($49.99) I think these are an excellent value; they are sturdy and well made, include felt rounds to protect your china, and are attractively styled. I’ve seen similar quality sets for two or three times this price at neighborhood housewares boutiques and at big box stores. Very pleased with this set in terms of aesthetics, safe china storage, ability to label, and overall value.

It is truly amazing just how many cups, mugs and china trnkets that you collect as you work your way through life. Married couples twice as much! LOL!AND, we all have our favorite mugs too, dont we? You know, the ones that we love to use each and ever day?Of course not all mugs and cups are sentimental, but some are very precious indeeed, for one reason or another.Needless to say, the BIG questions then remains, what do you do with all the cups and mugs that you actually want to keep?As a Military, we have found that these mug and cup storage and organizer, have helped us a great deal. Not only does it help you to consolodate and help you decide the priority of which ones to keep and store and which ones to donate, but it also keeps the stored mugs organized and safely stored free from all harm, but the worst of impact damage.Furthemore, when it comes to moving, they are ready to go - whether that is your next home or, as in our case, your next base.I will say that it is important to note that much larger or taller mugs wil most likely not fit well in these and must therefore, still be stored seperately. So, do keep that in mind, before ordering this organizer twin-pack.Once my items are safely stored in these boxes, I personally then put these filled organizers into our heavy-duty moving & storage crates, so that they are ready to move or, ready to access. This then also adds a further layer of protection. These cup and mug organizers are vey nicely made, lightly-padded and have good strong zippers to keep them contained.Yes, they are little on the pricey side, but your ARE getting a twin-ack and you are also reducing the risk of sentimental items getting damaged or broken and possibly lost forever. If you have sentimental or valuable china that you wish to protect, then these will be one of those purhcases that you will never regret.

I like this china storage. Room for dinner plates, bread plates, saucers, coffee cups, platters. Comes with felt like plate separators for every box. Linen look grey material on the outside and padding on the bottom and top and sides. Great way to keep china safe and clean when not using. Extremely well made and easy to pack and unpack the dishes. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and this is a nice set.

I wasn't sure what to expect from these units, but I think they will do the trick to help us clear out some extra mugs from our home collection, and store those we aren't ready to part with for personal reasons (memorabilia, mugs with personal connections, etc. The units took less than 1 minute to assemble. I like that the base of the unit has a more solid pice that slides into the unit, to provide some additional support and protection for the base. The frame without that piece appeared a bit thin at the bottom, but once that piece went in, the box really firmed up. The padded stabilizers nest in to provide extra padded support. The zippers were right on the cusp for me, though. I was having some issue zipping them, but once I folded them up fully, they zipped without hesitation. Definitely take the time to flip the zippers FULLY UP before zipping. There is a handle on the side of each box for ease in transport. All in all, I think these are great little storage units. For the price, I appreciate that TWO BOXES are included in this set. For these reasons, I do not hesitate to give these units a 5-star rating. I look forward to using them as we process through a jam packed dining room buffett and china cabinet, to prepare for an upcoming dining room renovation.

This is super nice for storing mugs away since we're mug collectors. Now we can stash some away and rotate them out when we get bored of the current selection. I wouldn't stack them super high or anything but it definitely adds some protection and keeps extra mugs nicely organized.
