I want to return this spark tester because it looks like it's been used the pack was open the screw with the red top just wobble out of position, would like to replace it thanks

Its important to adjust contacts close enough to easily monitor a spark. And, you can also see whether your coil is strong or weak judging by the brightness of the spark observed

Read reviews and yes you have to add a backup 1/4-20 to hold gap in place. Worked fine after that.
