Works well. Clips don’t detach after you close the hood. I left it on my truck for 2-1/2 weeks running back under the hood and in through the passenger door. No problems.

I recently purchased an emergency roadside car jack kit. It runs on 12 volts DC. I needed a female 12 volt socket to install on the end of a nice extension cable to supply 12 volts DC to the jack module and impact wrench that came in the jack kit. This female 12 volt socket is just what I needed. I was able to crimp terminal ends onto the wires of the 12 volt socket and then connect it up to the long extension cord that has battery terminal clamps to go onto the battery of my car. The male 12 volt plug on the jack motor fits into the power socket securely and it powers the car jack very well. I like being able to connect directly to the battery terminals of my car so that I don't blow the fuse in the car cigarette lighter. Now I can quickly change a flat tire without blowing the fuse in the cigarette lighter of my car. This female 12 volt socket is well made and it has nice thick gauge wires on it, and it is very sturdy. It is just what I needed for my new car jack kit to allow me to use the new extension cable to easily reach all of the tires on my car. I put the new extension cable and female 12 volt socket in the box with the jack kit to have anytime I need it.

needed something to run my Jaco dual ac/dc air compressor off a battery and it works as intended.Did need to change out the fuse to a proper size but other than that this is a great little cable assembly. Seems to be of good quality. Time will tell how long it will lasts.

Hard to believe that this item is not readily available at hardware, auto parts stores or marine stores. Of the couple I found, they were overpriced. This is well made and is now part of my backup energy supplies.

Very good set of extension cables. I run it from battery, under hood and through the hinge side of drivers door. Rubber door molding allows no pinching. Plug into a front window solar panel to provide a trickle charge while parked for more than a week.

They are robust, the gauge listed seems correct. The cover for the socket when not in use is a good touch.For my application, I cut off the alligator clips and crimped on Anderson power connectors. I was able to power a two-way radio all day through this adapter without issue.
