I live in a borough with extremely hard water. For years my hair never felt clean after washing, but this filter instantly removed all the calcium, lime, and whatever else is in the tap here. It may not be a true water softener, but the water feels MUCH softer coming through these filters. Love them!

They are misleading by the photos. In the photos it looks like disc's almost. In fact it's loose tiny balls. Regardless I felt a slight change in my Very 1st shower but I still smell chlorine and I still have itchy skin. My water isn't the greatest so I've changed the filter sooner than needed to hopefully now see better results. I did buy the gold housing unit which was for not as I had to use a wrench to unscrew it to replace so it looks all scratched as it's plastic. It's still better than my water by almost 75-80% I'd say. The water pressure is perfectly normal, ease of installation and functionality are on point!

I noticed a huge difference after I installed this filter. I did it without assistance and it took less than 5 min. We have awful hard water. This is a life changer!

The box recommends replacing 3-4 months. I didn't change it for a year since I am the only one that use the shower, and it still kept the water soft. After changing it, water felt even better. Nice product for skin and hair.

Easy to replace and works well filtering water. Very good tip to heat up the covers with a hair dryer to ease the glue and remove the adhesive covers. Other than that, good, I am happy with it.

This product was no where near as good as another brand I usually used. It did not make my hair feel any cleaner. I could feel a residue on my hair after showing with this filter. Do not recommend.
