When is the ‘right’ time to replace my cabin filter? - There is a musty or unpleasant odor coming from your vents.
- There is dust buildup in and around the vents.
- You do not remember the last time you replaced the cabin filter.
- Itchy throat, sneezing or coughing whenever you are driving.
- Poor uneven airflow coming from the vents, usually indicating a filter blockage.
- Smell of exhaust fumes or gases inside the cabin.
- It’s been 12K-15K miles (for highly congested areas we recommend earlier replacement) or 1 year - whichever comes first - since you last replaced the cabin filter.

This Cabin Filter looks sturdy and well made. It fit my vehicle perfectly. My son installed it and he said it was easy. They include easy to read and follow instructions in a large font with pictures. I actually noticed that the air conditioner was blowing colder air. The first time I put the air conditioner on, it smelled like that new car smell for a few minutes. Suggestion for installation is before you take out your old filter, slide a thick piece of paper underneath the old filter, remove the filter while leaving the paper in place to catch any leaves or debris that could fall into the blower. Then pull out the paper without dropping the leaves. It saves you from having to vacuum out the area.

It is slightly tight fitment in Hyundai Sonata, but it is easy to install and surely fits well.The performance of the filter is excellent and removes all dust and odor.Like this one very much.

Toyota Sienna 2011. The fact is that this filter does the job very well. Installationq is very easy. Mind that you will need to empty the bin (console pocket) before starting this operation, otherwise your contents will fall to the floor mats. You only need to loose the lower console pocket. First from the holding arm (looks like a mini shock absorber) with the strength of your fingers. Then you need to loose the two plastic ends of the console bin (left and right ends). These are released by carefully pressing inwards (opposite direction) while pulling the console bin forward. Once you clear the area, you can notice that there is a small casement (filter size) with a plastic lid that requires you release a small plastic tab on one of the ends. Replacing the filter is basically minding the orientation of the installed filter and installing the new one. Reverse this process then. The new filter feels very good, the air flow increased dramatically in the cabin. The overall cabin smell also improved. The filter should be replaced at least every year. You will know your frequency of replacement if you develop the habit of inspecting your filter at least every four months. Once a filter cake develops (the filter efficiency requires a minimum buildup) you can not allow it to over develop, otherwise air flow will dramatically decrease, odor quality will go bad. The filter's materials seem to be solid and durable. I don't have the tools to test their efficiency since that would require a microbiology lab. Recommended. Finally, you should replace this filter after 12000 city miles or every year. You deserve to maintain your cabin’s air quality.

I first bought and installed one of these HEPA filters a year ago. My wife has asthma and is particularly sensitive to dust and pollens encountered when travelling. I have just installed my second filter, having found the first entirely satisfactory. No problems with airflow, as I have seen reported with other brands, and the piece of mind of having HEPA filtration is worth a lot to my wife. Installation is easy, and the fit is exact for my 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I appreciate the higher-than-OEM quality I get with this filter. I do not understand the few negative reviews I have seen for this product, I had none of the problems cited.
