I use these mostly for rescribing panel line detail on 1/48 scale model aircraft lost to sanding and filling. I find the thickness of the blade to be good for most panel lines it seems to be somewhere around 0.15mm. In my opinion they don't replace a good set of scribers for large amounts of heavy duty scribing and creating jew panel lines from scratch, I use SAB panel line scribers 0.1mm, 0.15mm and 0.2mm for that. Also the cheaper option of mr hobby mr line chisel will work. I find these saw blades to be best for rescribing small parts of panel lines on rounded surfaces that were lost due to filling and sanding. The price for these is too high but they are a quality product with very sharp teeth and should last a long time.

I bought these on the off-chance they would fit an existing saw handle I have. So there are five of these blades in the package. They are sold by Micro-Mark but are actually the CMK brand saw blades repackaged for Micro-Mark. Mine actually had the CMK logo on them. These are perfect for model building and especially working with resin or cutting kit parts for conversions. They are VERY thin, so you should saw slowly and with even pressure. As other people have posted, these stick together so you may think there are only 4 in the package (I did too...) but after a much closer examination I discovered 2 stuck together perfectly. Very thin so easy to miss 2 blades stuck together. Because these are so thin, you really don't lose as much material from the piece you are cutting, this makes them especially useful for doing plastic kit conversions where you may have to cut a piece off of a plastic kit part to replace with a resin or other piece. For those model builders that have a JLC resin razor saw, these fit it perfectly. They're basically identical to the blades that come with the JLC saw. So if you have the JLC handle you can skip buying the handle from Micro-Mark.Great blades, worth every penny.

I bought these to do a specific task and then realize it had more uses I hadn't thought of.The blades are about the size of an old Razor Blade and they are very sharp. I got these to cut panel lines into plastic models and some cutting of pieces. I didn't get the handle...I should have gotten the handle.I used the saw and discovered there was a flaw in my thinking. This isn't a saw for cutting out certain pieces of material. The blade is too wide to make corner cuts in small bits of plastic.Having said this, after I got the handle I've used the saw to cut pieces from resin products and it makes a nice clean cut with little effort. I have a razor saw I've had for forty plus years and This is a supplemental item for me. It is a good saw and for cutting small parts or those hard to get to pieces on sprue this will work great.I'd recommend you get the handle as well.

A great little product. The serrated teeth are very, very fine. You can make cuts for instance in plastic with no real noticeable loss of material. I would give it 5 stars IF I had received 5 blades! Yes, I had 2 blades stuck together, got them separated and the total count was 4 blades. I thought maybe 2 are still stuck together. Put all blades in a stack and measured the thickness with my micrometer. Sure enough, 1 blade thickness short of what 5 blades should be. I think that this company should compensate or send the blades that are missing for all the people that did not receive 5. Other than being shorted, they are great.PS.... Perhaps those of us who were shorted at least 1 blade should get together and call ourselves "The Group of Fours" and contact the seller... after all, this is darn near $4.00 per blade!!

I use them specifically for airplane models, mainly 1/48 scale. These blades are goated for scribing panel lines. If you've watched PLASMO on YouTube, I completely understand why he uses these. I'm in no way implying I'm as good as him, but I did in 30seconds what with other tools took me minutes or even a whole afternoon of work. With better quality of work I might add. I won't be using anything else for panel lines (probably other things too) from now on. Do not hesitate to purchase these, it's a quality product worth every penny!

Have been looking at these little saws but couldn’t pull the trigger. Now that I have them I can’t believe I waited so long to purchase. Great for scribing panel lines on model aircraft and for kit bashing Warhammer figures. Can’t live without this tool
