I'm thrilled to share my experience with this egg shapped adaptive foam writing grip; it's been a lifesaver for me. As someone with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and tremors, my handwriting has deteriorated significantly over the years. Simple tasks and enjoyable hobbies, like writing, drawing, painting, and crocheting, have become painful and frustrating.Ehlers-Danlos Syndroms (EDS) causes my joints to pop out of joint and hyperextend, leading to pain and fatigue in my hands. The smaller the pen or pencil, the more my fingers hurt. I've tried using fat, ergonomic pens in the past, but many trade writing/ink quality for ergonomics, and they're always more expensive.I found pens shaped like egg-shaped bulbs, which worked great in my hand. However, they were costly and only lasted a few weeks. That's when I discovered these amazing foam adapters, shaped like eggs – just like the pens! They're a game-changer because I can use them on more than just pens; I can use them on various pens, pencils, crayons, paintbrushes, crochet hooks, and even knitting needles. The bulb-shaped design is the most effective I've found. It allows my fingers to grasp the utensil without locking into painful positions or dislocating. This is better than a normal thicker cushioned pen because the bulb allows the hand to rest rather than collapse on itself, maintaining a neutral position.Another benefit is that, since I'm not holding the pen as tightly, my tremors don't activate as much, making it easier to write. The adapters are easy to use – simply slide them onto the writing utensil. One minor drawback is that the hole through the foam may not accommodate very thick pens. However, the foam can flex slightly to accommodate slightly larger utensils.Overall, I highly recommend these adaptive foam writing grips to anyone with hand disabilities or pain. They're a simple yet effective solution that can make a significant difference in daily life.

I had bought these last year and returned them because I was trying to use them with the small crochet hooks (sizes smaller than 3.5mm). These didn't work for that at all, the hole is just too big for the tiny crochet hooks. Fast forward to this year, I've added coloring to my hobbies and have been experiencing pain in my hands from gripping the pencils. I have another type of pencil grip that I use with my regular pens and mechanical pencils but they stay on the pen or pencil - with coloring, I need to be able to switch the grip to a different color pencil quickly and easily. My other grips are silicone and they kind of stick to the pen or pencil so it's harder to get it on & off. These foam grips stay in place and come off pretty easily. Sometimes I need to wrap a rubber band around the other end of the pencil so it doesn't slip out of my hand when I pull the foam grip off. Several times the pencil keeps sliding out of my hand when I try to pull the grip off, the pencils are just too thin and smooth so they slide out of my fingers easily when I pull on the grip. Even with this little issue, it's still easier to swap these foam grips to different pencils than the silicone grips that I use (that I don't change - the silicone grip stays on the pen or pencil, I'm not switching those like I do for coloring with colored pencils). These help with my hand pain so much! They are just the right firmness and size so I can't grip the skinny pencil so tightly - my fingers don't get sore from holding the barrel of the pencil either. The width takes a little bit to get used to, I need to adjust my positioning a little bit. I'm glad I remembered these, they're exactly what I need to help me keep coloring without pain (or greatly reduced pain - still get a little sore if I color for a really long time). Since I'm only using one of these at a time and just swapping it to whatever pencil I'm using, these will probably last me a long time!

I wish I had known about this pen/pencil grip before I graduated from law school. It is very helpful for allowing you to write while minimizing hand cramping and fatigue. A caveat is that it requires a slender barrel to attach- a standard pencil or basic drugstore pen without the bells and whistles we are used to. The grip does not move once it is positioned and you will find the optimum placement for the grip as you practice writing. A brilliant design with accessible pricing. Much better than the other brands I tried advertised as pencil grips. The foam is the perfect density/texture; the bulk will look weird but give it a try if you have any hand mobility or fatigue issues when writing.

This item is great. Big enough to prevent finger discomfort and easy to place.

I'm having a very hard time finding any product that I can use to make it easier to hold a pen. These aren't terrible but they are pretty big/fat and there is no give to the material at all. Like all the other products I've tried, they are also difficult to get on and off the pens. I can't believe these are intended for use by children! How could someone with a small hand get any grip on them at all!

I'm not even 30 but I think I've managed to give myself arthritis in my hands? Yikes, idk. Anyway, I bought a face roller and it hurt to use so I got these to cover the thin handle and it's much comfier to use now

This is exactly what I needed for my hobbies. I put it on my Ultra-Punch needle handle and I can now use the needle for longer periods of time.
