Simply fold or loop your thin cord, then press down the top spring latch to slide your string, paracord, shock cord, elastic, lanyard, rope, drawstring or other type of narrow cord through the single hole eyelet. Release the latch to lock your cord in place and press again to make it adjustable.

This black plastic toggle is easy to help secure my elderly dad’s jogger pants. He can easily squeeze the toggle on his own. As he steadily loses weight the toggle keeps his pant’s waistband from fitting too large.

I have looked around all over in fabric stores and shoe stores for an adjustable toggle to use as a home made chin strap on a few hats. Not easy to find! Amazon has what I need which is good but I do wish the toggle was just a little bit bigger, only because it would work better with larger/fatter cords. Maybe the double hole toggle would have worked more to my liking but this one is fine just the same. I like it and it works!

Used these cord locks to repair the chin straps on two hats. The opening is generous enough to pull the leather straps through.
